Things are never quite as scary when you've got a best friend.

Third Person POV :
"Hyung, what's wrong?" Jimin was brought back to reality when Jungkook, who noticed Jimin's flustered face, moved closer and placed a hand on his shoulder.
Jimin blinked rapidly, struggling to compose himself. He quickly turned away from Jungkook, his heart racing, and cleared his throat. After taking a deep breath, he faced the younger again, but his eyes darted to the floor, avoiding direct contact.
"Uhm... It's-it's nothing. Just... surprised to see him like that. He must have gone through a lot," Jimin said, trying to keep his voice steady, but it came out slightly higher than usual.
"I know, hyung. It hurts you to see someone in pain even if it's a stranger." Jungkook side-hugged him, sensing Jimin's unease.
Jimin forced a smile, but there was a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. "Yeah, well... you're going to take care of him, right? You didn't call the police yet, did you?"
"No, we need to discuss it with him first."
"Good. Let's keep it that way for now," Jimin said a bit too quickly, a shadow crossing his face as he sighed deeply.
"Okay, let me know when he wakes up. I need to go now." Jimin pushed the younger from the hug, his movements a tad too brisk, and walked toward the living room, Jungkook trailing behind.
"Where to?"
"Busan..." Jimin replied, his gaze fixed ahead.
"But it's not Saturday yet-not the time for your weekly visit to Grandpa just yet! Plus, who's going to help me with this boy? You're not really going to leave your dear friend alone, are you?" Jungkook pouted, playfully swinging his friend's hand back and forth as he clutched the hem of his sleeve, hoping to keep him there.
Jimin shook his head, a smile making its way on his lips. "Nice try, but those antics don't work on me anymore. Only Jin Hyung and Hoseok Hyung would fall for that. You'd just ask them to stick around."
"But Hoseok Hyung's busy with emergency cases at the hospital, and Jin Hyung's buried under work at the company! I'm all alone here!" Jungkook slouched dramatically on the couch, letting out a sigh as Jimin finally removed his hand from Jungkook's grip. "And honestly, I'll miss you. I love you more, you know!" He winked playfully and sent a finger heart Jimin's way.
"Eww! Go find a girl, will you? Don't come at me like that-you're definitely not my type!" Jimin cringed dramatically, trying to suppress a grin.
"It's totally your loss!" Jungkook scoffed playfully. "But just to be clear, you need my approval to leave, Mr. Park! A CEO can't just take off whenever he feels like it!" His voice was mockingly authoritative as he addressed his friend professionally.
"Alright, Mr. Jeon," Jimin chuckled, rolling his eyes. "If you could show a little mercy and let your poor employee go, he would be eternally grateful and promise to return by tomorrow!" He mocked a dramatic 90° bow, hands clasped in front of him.
