37. Changes

Third Person POV :

"Mr.Kim, this is the car which we suspect to be the one the boy might have sneaked out in. Our men checked this hospital that day but we lost it by a whisker." Janghyun put forward a photo of a car on Minseok's table. "It was rented by this guy on that day and he was seen in the hospital too." He put another photo of a person on the table. "And, here are his details." He handed him a sheet.

"Kim Seokjin, CEO of a leading tech company Jeonfinity." He stated. "But he never reported any case to the police. Either he didn't have the boy or he was hiding him somewhere safely. I'll proceed to force the answer out of him in my way if you want to."

"No, not when we are uncertain on our end. More when he is a big shot. I want this to be done as quietly as possible." Mr.Kim finally responded. "Find out if really does have Taehyung or not." He said and waved as a queue for Janghyun to leave.

Janghyun bowed and turned back but stopped when he heard Minseok's voice once again. "Wait...what about Chanyeol? Anything suspicious?" Janghyun went stiff at this question. He turned around maintaining a calm posture. "Nothing suspicious, Mr.Kim. As he said, he left this field. I don't think he will ever look back."

He fisted his hands trying to stop them from shaking. This is the first time he was going against Mr.Kim's interest. He knew that Chanyeol joined the same company that he checked about. He was loyal to Minseok but he was more loyal to his companion. Chanyeol and he worked together for almost a decade. It would be a lie if he said his heart can handle if any harm is imposed on Chanyeol. He doesn't deny his feelings but the person already found the love of his life in this same mansion which again was unknown to his boss.

So he decided to keep his love to himself but he can never do something that hurt him.

"Okay, keep an eye on him." Mr.Kim said and Janghyun bowed before leaving the room.

Eunwoo entered the office and it didn't take him a minute to figure out something weird happened today. Everyone was gossiping like never and he noticed a few of them glancing at the CEO's cabin in between their gossip. He figured Jimin must've returned to work.

So, in order to help him with the past week's updates he went to Jimin's room and knocked on the door twice, entering after that without waiting for an answer. Perks of being a friend to the boss.

"I was really worried about...." He said entering the room but stopped when his eyes spotted the person in the seat. "... Jungkook?? What are you doing here?" To say Eunwoo was shocked would be a really understatement. It was the first time Jungkook visited there, at least during work hours. So this was the reason for all the buzz in the office.

"Oh, I'll be looking over here instead of Jimin for a few days. Jimin will guide me from home. And I hope you will help me out since I am new to this." Jungkook smiled at his cousin.

If Eunwoo was not shocked enough before now he was. "Oh, my head is dizzy." He dramatically held his head and winked at Jungkook when a worried expression took over the other's face. "I mean, it's the longest you have ever spoken to me. And you even smiled at me without any awkwardness. I should definitely note this date." He exaggerated.

Jungkook awkwardly cleared his throat. Eunwoo was right. Though his cousin always used to approach him in a friendly way, lack of proper response from Jungkook, the disappointed Eunwoo who stopped trying.

"Sorry about that. And...thanks for the help in advance." He said and Eunwoo chuckled. "Hey, I was just kidding, Jungkook. No need to be sorry, I understand." He said and Jungkook nodded.
