Third person pov:
"Hyung..." Taehyung clung to Jungkook, his body trembling as quiet sobs escaped him. The images refused to leave him... the blood, the chaos, the gunshots... Jimin... Namjoon... it all felt too much.
Jungkook held him close, one hand gently brushing through his hair. "You're doing so well, sweetheart," he murmured softly. His gaze briefly shifted toward the closed door across the corridor, the one behind which Kim Beom lay fighting for his life.
"You saved him. I'm really proud of you." He pressed a lingering kiss to Taehyung's forehead before wrapping his arms tighter around him, as if anchoring him there. "Are you feeling tired?" he asked gently.
"A little...But I'm okay." Taehyung's voice came out muffled against Jungkook's chest. "He... he was trying to save me," Taehyung whispered, his fingers curling weakly into Jungkook's shirt. "He cried... he fought them... for me. He's a good man."
Jungkook's hold tightened, just slightly. "Yeah," he said softly. "He is. Don't worry. He'll be okay."
"Yeah...he is. Don't worry. He will be fine." Jungkook said.
Just moments ago, Yoongi had told him everything. Taehyung was alive because Kim Beom was selfless unlike his father. He had refused to steal another life just to save his own. He chose Taehyung over himself.
Jungkook closed his eyes briefly, resting his cheek against Taehyung's head, holding him a little tighter.
"Hyung... Jimin... how is Jimin? He woke up, right?" The question slipped out so softly, yet it struck like a blade to Jungkook.
Guilt surged again, sharp and merciless. If only he hadn't left.
"Uh... Namjoon hyung woke up," Jungkook said instead, gently steering away. "Shall we go see him?"
Like a one year kid, Taehyung was diverted immediately, eager to see Namjoon. Then his eyes fell on Jungkook's arm, the dried blood staining the fabric. "Hyung...your hand."
It was the untreated wound from yesterday, still waiting for Taehyung to be treated.
"Hmm..." Jungkook smiled faintly. "It was waiting for my angel to heal it." He leaned in and placed a soft peck on Taehyung's lips.

"Does it hurt?" Taehyung asked, already focused, carefully cleaning the wound. "You should've let them treat it." His lips formed a small pout, all his attention on the injury, while Jungkook's gaze remained fixed on him instead.
"I told you before... you'd be the one to heal me—ah—!" Jungkook hissed as Taehyung pressed a little harder. "What?!" He asked in disbelief.
"I know you said that to comfort me, but still... what if it gets infected?" Taehyung scolded, shooting him a glare.
Jungkook winced again dramatically.
Taehyung froze. "Sorry...does it hurt a lot?" Taehyung panicked thinking he pressed it too hard.
"Yes," Jungkook said immediately, a playful glint in his eyes. "Blow on it. That helps."
Without question, Taehyung leaned closer, gently blowing over the wound. Jungkook's expression softened completely.
"Done," Taehyung said with a small, satisfied smile, looking at the slightly messy bandage he had wrapped.
Perfect, in its own way.
He grabbed Jungkook's other hand, tugging him along to find to Namjoon though he doesn't know the direction. "Let's go."
But something flickered in his memory. "Hyung..." he said slowly. "What did Joonie hyung mean yesterday? He said something... I couldn't hear it properly."
