Moiya followed closely behind Valor

Moiya followed closely behind Valor. The pair kept their footsteps light and breathing quiet while exploring the still and silent thirteenth floor. It was a long hallway with a line of doors on either side, similar to the layout of a hotel.

Valor had informed Moiya about the two guards he had seen and was confident they had been taken out by Blood Oaks. So far no alarms had been raised, no other MagiCorp members had attempted to find or hunt them down.

We're still on the forbidden floors of MagiCorp. Thankfully, Valor is locking the second panel in the elevator every time we leave it so no one else can follow us up here.

Although the pair were sneaking around Moiya couldn't help but check Valor out. His short, jet-black spiky hair suited him, outlining his smooth jawline. His dark skin glowed under the dull lamplights above, the muscles in his arms prominent and on display in his sleeveless shirt.

I know we're on a mission, but he's just so cool...

The teen's heart skipped a beat when Valor's ruby eyes met hers.

"You doing okay?" he whispered.

"Yeah," Moiya replied while tightening straps on her backpack.

"Good," he said, flashing her a smile before cautiously approaching one of the doors. Valor jiggled the handle on his left and found it unlocked. Grinning, he slowly pried the wooden slab of wood open and slid into the room with Moiya in tow.

The two friends slunk like shadows into the large office space. Only when they were sure they were alone did they sift through the desk, drawers and cabinets.

"Take this," Valor murmured while handing Moiya a dagger with Elemental Magic tied to its hilt.

"Thanks," the teen mouthed before harvesting the Magic. Once it formed tattoos on the palms of her hands, she tucked the sheathed blade into the back of her boot.

Valor found several more daggers with Elemental Magic tied to each and promptly handed them to Moiya. "Stash those in your backpack for your friends," he said, his voice breaking the heavy silence.

Moiya unzipped her bag and admired all the wands they had found with Elemental Magic tied to them.

I can't believe they just leave these lying around everywhere. Is this what it's like to be super rich?

Valor paced the room in circles, his gloved hand nervously rapping against the hilt of his sheathed sword. "Do you think something happened to Rhys and Jacquelle? I keep thinking they'll suddenly show up like you did, but it's been awhile."

"I'll try using that spell one more time," Moiya replied, her emerald gems studying the closed entrance door. "Might as well since the coast is still clear."

The teen quietly said the Angelic Spell for teleportation and was momentarily relived when the vision within her right eye turned black. "It's working again."
