After the boss finished its barrage, I took off in a sprint and struck the boss with several artes.
The boss puffed up before contracting rapidly. A wave of energy exploded outward. I took a defensive stance before the wave hit.
The attack pushed me back a few feet. Though it didn't do much damage to me. As I dashed in for a second attack. The back of the boss began to glow, growing spines that fired off at me.
I continued my sprint using my momentum to avoid each volley before closing in to launch another round of attacks.
This time, I was ready. I knew the range of the next blast and jumped backward to get outside the range of the attack.
Though I wasn't quite far enough and caught in the blast, regardless. Though it did less damage and pushed me less further.
This time, it came charging at me, and from its body, a bony spear jutted from its body. Side stepping, I dodged the attack. It this followed up with two more spears near adjacent to the first. That second caught me and dealt a significant amount of damage.
