"Hey Suna, Mani," I called to the twins.
"Yes," "yeah," they both replied at once.
"How long have you two been playing?" I asked.
"Umm about three years, why do you ask?" Suna responded sounding apprehensive.
"I'm curious how you two ended up in this event. It was restricted to content, eighteen and up," I said.
"Oh, I see," Suna said.
They both looked down at the ground.
'I guess I broke that taboo.'
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to; I did just ask something rather rude," I turned away from them slightly brushing the back of my head nervously.
"It's not that," Suna replied. "We kind of begged our parents to let us participate in the event. They signed the waiver agreement," she said with an expression that read something between a tinge of shame and sadness.
Suna and Mani then began to talk about how after begging their parents to let them play the game, their parents signed a waiver agreement which allowed them to participate in select limited content meant for players eighteen years and older they stumbled on the first event item. They talked about how they found the other items after reading several online discussions and solving the riddle. They told me that they managed to collect the remainder of event items by joining up with other players and their parties. After gathering the required items and receiving the email, they managed to make it through the [Black Wood] by partying up with another group. When the event officially started the group they came in with abandoned them and left them on their own, and they've been struggling to make any headway on their own.
I felt bad for the two of them; these kids shouldn't be involved in this. I couldn't help but think of their parents who signed gave their permission for it and everything else that has followed. Most of all I wondered how the two of them managed to survive for this long. I know it's not my place, but I want to help them a bit so they can make it on their own.
