The Unwritten Rule

CHAPTER 6

"Appa he is my new friend, Jungkook" Seokjin introduced Jungkook proudly. Seokjin's father was shocked to see the prince, whom the whole kingdom was looking for.

Seokjin's father immediately bowed "Your Royal Highness." Seokjin was confused about why his father was bowing to his friend and calling him 'Royal Highness'. Seokjin realized that Jungkook was from the Royal palace. He immediately let go of Jungkook's hand and looked at Jungkook with wide eyes. 

Seokjin immediately lowered his eyes and head in respect. Jungkook didn't like this sudden change in Seokjin's behavior. Seokjin's father understood that Seokjin didn't realize that Jungkook was the prince"Your Royal Highness please forgive my son. He has been inside this small village for so long that he doesn't know the noble's names and faces. Please forgive my son. You can punish me as much as you want." Seokjin's father begged "Appa......" Seokjin whispered with tears in his eyes. 

Both father and son didn't dare to raise their heads. "No Ahjussi, Your son saved my life and filled my stomach. He didn't do anything wrong." Jungkook said "But your Royal Highness-" "No Ahjussi neither of you deserves to be punished," Jungkook said before Seokjin's father could complete his sentence with a small smile. "Thank you, Your Royal Highness" Seokjin's father bowed. "Then I will send the message to the palace that you are safe." Seokjin's father said "Yes, thank you Ahjussi" Jungkook said. Seokjin's father went to inform about Jungkook. 

Seokjin was still standing with his head down. Jungkook went near Seokjin and kept his hand on Seokjin's shoulder, which made Seokjin flinched a bit. "Why is your head still hanging down hyung?"  Jungkook asked, "Because I didn't know the prince's name and treated him rudely, Your Royal Highness." Seokjin answered with his head down. 

Jungkook lifted Seokjin's face to look at him in the eyes. "Hyung, you didn't treat me rudely. You treated me like a doctor and took excellent care of me. Even though your bandage skills are messy." Jungkook said while adjusting his bandage which made Seokjin chuckle. 

"Hyung don't treat me as a prince and call me 'Your Royal Highness'. I don't like how distant it makes me feel. Can't you call me by my name?" Jungkook pouted, "I can't do that Your Royal Highness. If people around you get to know this they will not only hurt my father and me but also degrade you for allowing me to address you by your name." Seokjin said avoiding eye contact 

"Then at least do it when we are alone," Jungkook said. "Please...hyung, please .....Only when we are alone please Jin Hyung." Seokjin flushed red when Jungkook called him 'Jin Hyung' with his puppy eyes, He couldn't help but give up "Yeah...Okay.." Seokjin said defeated "Yeah!!" Jungkook shouted in victory which made Seokjin smile. 

Soon Seokjin's father reached the palace and went into the ballroom where the King and all the nobles were present. He kneeled in front of the King, with respect "Your Majesty, I have good news." Seokjin's father said, "What is it, General Kim?" The King asked, "We have found the Royal Highness." General Kim said. The members present in the room stood up including the King.

"Where is he? Is he alright?" Ji Ho asked "Yes Your Majesty. The Royal Highness is safe " General Kim replied "Where is he? Please lead the way, General Kim"  Ji Ho said making his way. General Kim immediately stood up in shock. "Your Highness you can't go out. It will be dangerous," General Kim said "It's okay. I need to see my son right now. Please inform the Queen and ready the carriage" Ji Ho said going toward the exit. General Kim called the soldiers for the protection of the King and Queen.

Meanwhile with Jungkook and Seokijn:

After convincing Seokjin to call Jungkook by his name when they are alone Jungkook starts talking about how he got lost because he followed a rabbit. He also told him about his brother and cousins. Seokjin liked how cute Jungkook looked while talking about his loved ones and how Jungkook eyes sparkled.

Jungkook and Seokijn heard the carriage sound followed by Seokjin's father's voice "This way, Your Majesty." The Queen and the King entered the house along with General Kim and the guards waiting outside. "Eomma! " Jungkook ran towards his mother. Chae Won hugged her son tightly "My son... Are you okay?" Chae Won asked looking at her son's bandage. "Yes Eomma I am okay,"  Jungkook said smiling. Ji Ho smiled and caressed his son's head lovingly. Jungkook turned around and saw Seokjin standing keeping a safe distance between them. Jungkook went near Seokjin, took his hand, and dragged him toward his parents "Eomma, appa meet my friend Jin hyung."
