Days were passed in a blink. All the rituals were completed. The King allotted Seokjin a room in the palace. No one objected as everyone knew how much General Kim sacrificed to protect the Kingdom.Seokjin didn't utter a word, he was always alone. The King, Queen, Jimin, Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jungkook tried making Seokjin talk 'anything' but it was useless. Jungkook was getting worried and refused to leave Seokjin alone.
During nights Seokjin would wake up crying and sweating. He felt like he was falling into a dark world without anyone around him. He would call out for his appa but there would be no response.
"Hyung..." Jungkook called out before entering Seokjin's room. The room was dark with curtains closed and he could see Seokjin sitting on the ground with his back against the bed.
Jungkook sighed. He kept the things which he was holding on the bed and went to open the curtains. Sublight entered the room Making Seokjin squeeze his eyes.
Jungkook sat beside Seokjin "Hyung..." Seokjin didn't respond and was staring blankly. Jungkook took Seokjin's hand "Hyung please say something. I know you are hurting but you don't have to do this alone. Share it with me. I will always be with you hyung please." Jungkook pleased his hyung.
It was hard seeing his hyung who was once so happy and bright like this. Seokjin still didn't respond. Jungkook sighed. He let go of Seokjin's hand and took the things that he placed on the bed.
He kept them on Seokjin's lap. Seokjin who felt some weight on his lap looked down. Seokjin let out a shaking breath. Seokjin touched the cloth. The dress his father wore along with his father's sword. Seokjin remember how his father would always clean the blade with utmost care.
Seokjin cried out loud holding his appa's belongings close to his heart. "Hyung.." Jungkook called out putting his hand on Seokjin's shoulder. "Your appa will always be with you hyung. He would always want you to move forward in your life." Jungkook said "How..How can I do that Jungkook? How...appa was the only one I had in my life now he is not there anymore." Seokjin said as tears kept falling.
"Hyung.. remember you told me you wanted to be a great soldier like your appa? and do you remember when you told your appa how happy Ajusshi was? Do you not want to make your appa happy and proud?" Jungkook asked. Seokjin looked at his appa's sword. He saw his appa's smile when he told him about his dream.
Thanks to Jungkook's words Seokjin started to be himself. He started talking to others, eating his food, and most importantly he started training hard to become a great soldier like his father.
Everyone was happy seeing Seokjin open up and smile, except one. One of the Yeolsoe hated how everyone was giving Seokjin extra care. 'Who is he? How can he deserve such treatment by the royals? It's better to send him out of the palace as fast as possible' The Yeolsoe thought.
He immediately made his way towards the other Yeolsoe to discuss this matter and unsurprisingly they all agreed and started to dig about Seokjin
On the other hand, Seokjin was getting close to Jimin, Namjoon, Yoongi, and especially Jungkook. Seokjin was thankful for all the things Jungkook and his family had done for him. He would always be thankful for them for the rest of his life. He knows he cannot stay in the palace for a long time. It's not correct for him to stay as he is a no-one. Sooner or later Seokjin wanted to talk to The King about this. Jungkook was also having the best moments in his life with Seokjin. He wanted Seokjin to be by his side forever.
