The Unwritten Rule

CHAPTER 9

Soon, every Kingdom, together with all their respective kings. They fought for three days against the Ice Kingdom, and it was clear that the Ice Kingdom would lose. 

"Your Majesty, if the war continues, we will be at a loss. It will affect us greatly. Please think about it." The Ice Kingdom's Minister advised the king. "We are going to retreat, but not without killing General Kim. He dared to cut my brother's fingers just because he touched the Nemon's Kingdom's women. I will take his head with me." The Ice Kingdom's king said and stomped his way out to meet his soldiers.

"My dear soldiers. I know we are at a loss, but do you remember what they did to my brother, your prince? Will you forgive them?" The king asked, "No!!" The soldiers screamed with range. "This time, target General Kim. I want his head. Whoever brings me his head will be rewarded greatly." The king said, which excited the soldiers to kill General Kim.

After meeting the soldiers, the king went to his tent with his Minister. "Minister Jun, send a few soldiers into our enemy's tent." "May I ask why? Your Majesty." The Minister asked. The king smirked. "To poison General Kim." 

As planned, Minister Jun sent four of their soldiers. Two of the soldiers were used as bait, and the rest went to the cooking area and added the blur liquid given to them by the Minister. 

The Next day:

Seokjin was training in the early morning. Today, he was in a happy mood as his father was returning from the battlefield, and he had a lot of stories to share with him. Day passed, and it was already past 9 o'clock, and his father was nowhere to be found. Seokjin started to get worried. His father was never late. 

A person ran towards Seokjin and dragged him towards the palace without saying anything. Seokjin was confused but followed the person as he knew the person. After reaching the Palace Seokjin, he was confused and nervous as there were so many people. As the crowd saw Seokjin, everyone started to give him way. 

Seokjin made his way into the palace, the person who was with Seokjin bent down to Seokjin's level and said "Seokjin ...... I don't know how to tell you this.  All I can say is be strong, my child."  The person said and hugged him with tears rolling down. 'How can he live in this world without you Kim Kye Sang?' The person thought and hugged Seokjin tighter. "Ahjussi....Why? What happened? I have to return home. Appa will return today." Seokjin said. This made the person cry more. 

The person slowly took Seokjin's hand and made Seokjin stand in front of a body that was covered with a white cloth. The white cloth was also covered in blood stains. Seeing this made Seokjin's heartbeat rise. The King, Queen, Jungkook, Jimin, Yoongi, Namjoon, and all the other soldiers were standing with tears in their eyes. Jungkook wanted to run and cover Seokjin's eyes so that he wouldn't have to see his father in that state. But Seokjin deserves to see his father for the last time.  

As soon as they lifted the cover Seokjin's breath hitched. He couldn't see properly due to the tears forming in his eyes. He wanted to scream and run towards his appa but his body wasn't moving at all. Seokjin's legs gave up. 

He couldn't move his eyes away from his appa. Jungkook who was standing near the King ran towards Seokjin and hugged him with tears rolling down. "What? What's going on? Did appa...no...no... no way. This is all a dream. I have to wake up from this dream. No.." Seokjin murmured and started slapping himself to wake up from this 'dream' "Hyung... No" Jungkook held Seokjin's hand to prevent Seokjin from hurting himself. "Jungkook... it's not true right? My appa....." Before Seokjin could say anything Jungkook hugged him "I am sorry hyung" Jungkook said "Why? Why are you sorry Jungkook. he is not my appa. My appa will return today. I have to go and cook something for him." Seokjin said looking into Jungkook's eyes. Seokjin was refusing to believe that his appa was not more. Jungkook couldn't bear to see his hyung like this "Hyung !! This is not a dream. The person who is lying there is your appa" Jungkook said. Seokjin looked at Jungkook with wide eyes and looked at his appa "Appa....." The tears which were refusing to leave Seokjin's eyes were now flowing down his face. 

Seokjin slowly stood up made his way towards his appa and kneeled. "Appa.... why? why did you leave me too... Now I don't have anyone. Eomma left me when I was born and now you to left me. Why? Why did you both leave me here alone?! Take me with you appa please take me with you....." Seokjin cried his heart out. Seeing Seokjin, all the members present there couldn't hold back their tears. "Hyung.." Jungkook kneeled beside Seokjin "You have me right? I will always be there for you hyung." Jungkook said. 

While Jungkook was trying his best to console Seokjin one of the Yeolsoe was looking at Seokjin with suspicious eyes 'How can a mery boy call His Royal Highness by his name? *scoff* how offensive. He deserves a punishment.'
