CHAPTER 14

"Umm.. you.. have pretty good archery skills," I said, curious about his skills. Before I answer, let's introduce ourselves. I will start first. "My name is Kim Taehyung," he said, flashing a full smile. We introduced ourselves.

Author POV:

"About the archery skills. My father taught me he was a soldier." Taehyung looked at them. They all looked at him as if they wanted him to continue. "We were poor, but we were a happy family. My two fathers and I had to work daily to meet our ends, but we were never unhappy. We were content with what we had. But one day our lives turned, my father lost his leg during a battle. We didn't receive any help from the royal family. Instead, they removed my father. They said my father was not useful anymore. So me and my dad had to work extra time to earn money. In the end we couldn't earn enough as my dad had to stay back at home some days to take care of my father. We couldn't pay the debts on time and taxes were pretty high. Since we could hardly earn some money, we could not pay the tax on time due to which the King ordered to execute my family. My dad and father died while protecting me. I ran away from that kingdom and came here. With the help of my friend, I could earn some money and live here." Taehyung said with an emotionless face.

Jungkook POV:

After Taehyung completed his story, we stayed silent, not knowing what to say. He had a rough time. It must be really tough losing your loved ones. I have seen how much Jin hyung suffered and I can only imagine how much Taehyung has suffered. "I am sorry about your parents. But I am sure they must be in a safe place now. They would be so proud of how good their son has turned out to be," Jimin said. We three were never good with our words, but Jimin somehow always knew what to say. "Thank you, Jimin-si," Taehyung said with a small smile. "Just Jimin is fine. You look older than me. If you don't mind, can I ask what your age is?" Jimin asked. "Oh.. I am 23 years old." Taehyung answered.

After chatting and getting to know Taehyung a bit more. "Taehyung do you know how long it will take for us to travel from here to Nemon Kingdom?" Yoongi hyung asked. "Nemon Kingdom? Well.... It's not very far from the border of the Iris Kingdom. If you take a shortcut, the rouges you've escaped may be searching for you. So I suggest you take the long way, for which you need a cart." Taehyung replied. "And where can we find it?" I asked curiously, because as far as I remember, Iris is not a fully developed kingdom. Finding a cart here would be difficult and, not to mention we don't have coins with us, we have to trade our accessories. "Carts are really hard to find, but I can help you with that. My friend owns a cart. If you don't, mind, I can borrow it and take you back to your kingdom," Taehyung said. "Thank you Taehyung -si. We will surely repay your kindness." I said, feeling grateful for what Taehyung-si is doing for us. "No problem. You guys rest here. I will get the cart." Taehyung said getting up. "If you don't mind, can I tag along?" I asked him. I don't want to just sit around and wait for him to return. "Yes. If you like it, then come on." He replied. I looked at Yoongi hyung, and he nodded his head.

Even though I just met Taehyung, I have a feeling that he and I can get along. I want to take Taehyung to our kingdom. He is alone here and not to mention he is wasting his archery skills.

"How far is your friend's house Taehyung-si?" I asked. "You don't have to keep calling me 'taehyung-si', you can just call me Taehyung or just hyung, since I am older than you. And I will call you Jungkook." Taehyung said, which made me chuckle. "Why? Is it weird?" Taehyung was confused "No.. hyung?" It's my first time calling someone hyung other than my brother and Jin. Taehyung smiled and said "and about the distance, it's not very far from here. Just a few kms," He replied

After walking for some time we reached his friend's house and borrowed the cart. We thanked his friend and returned to Taehyung's house. Taehyung said it will take hours for us to reach Nemon's kingdom. So he started packing a few items we could use and some food. Jimin and Namjoon hyung were helping them. I went near Yoongi hyung. "Hyung.... I want to take Taehyung with us. What do you think?" I wanted to take Yoongi hyung's opinion. He thought for a second, "it's a good idea Jungkook. But it's better if we do a background check on him first. It's not like I don't trust him, but it's a matter of our kingdom's safety. He has a magnificent physique and stamina, not to mention his archery skills. He would be an outstanding soldier with some practice. "Yoongi hyung said to which I agree. I would speak to the King when we return to our kingdom, about Taehyung. But before that I need to ask Taehyung about it. I am not sure if he was willing to come with us.
