CHAPTER 24

After imprisoning the Yeolsoe. The king and the ministers, they have decided to behead them after the war.

Taehyung wrote a letter to his parents. The king, Ji Ho and Ara were in tears seeing their brother after many years. They wanted to spend hours talking, but the war was coming near and the plans they made till now were exposed. So they had to come up with a new plan.

The kingdom was spending sleepless nights. Because of the sudden change in plans, Seokjin was also affected. He couldn't get enough sleep.

Seokjin was writing a report on how far the preparations have come. There was a knock on the door. "Come in." Seokjin said. "Hyung" Jimin came in with a glass. Seokjin looked at the glass and Jimin "What is this?" Seokjin asked, looking at the glass. "Dr.Oh said you are weak and gave me this medicine to feed you." Jimin said, giving the glass to Seokjin. Seokjin looked at the glass. "Jimin-na Do I have to take this?" Seokjin asked, looking at the liquid inside the glass. "Yes hyung." Jimin said.

Seokjin sighed and took it with his eyes and nose closed. "Very good." Jimin said, taking the empty glass from Seokjin's hand. "Ah...hyung, Jungkook hyung said he won't be able to come today as there is a lot of work to do." Jimin said. Seokjin nodded his head. Even though Seokjin misses Jungkook so much, he understood Jungkook and kept quiet. "Hyung, did you tell Jungkook hyung?" Jimin asked.

Seokjin Shaked his head negatively. "I will tell him once the war is over." Seokjin said. "Hyung, are you sure you want to go to the war? You know it's risky, right?" Jimin said, "I know Jimin-na, but it's my responsibility to protect the kingdom. I am doing this to protect the Kingdom not to avenge my Appa and I also promised the king that we will take them down. I can't go back on my promise." Seokjin said. Jimin nodded, understanding the situation. "At least take some rest hyung. You look pale," Jimin said. Seokjin nodded his head, unable to continue the conversation.

After sorting out the things, Jungkook went to the king and queen's chamber. "Appa," Jungkook greeted his father and mother. "What is it Jungkook?" Ji Ho asked. He wasn't expecting Jungkook.

"Appa, I have something to talk with you both," Jungkook said. Ji Ho nodded, telling Jungkook to continue. "I want to leave the palace after the war." Jungkook said. "What?" Chae Won said, shocked. "What are you saying, Jungkook?" Ji Ho stopped Chae Won. "Let him complete, dear." Ji Ho said. "Appa, I don't want to be the next king. I want to live an ordinary life outside this palace." Jungkook said. "Jungkook, I can understand how it feels when you do things that don't interest you. I have seen my brother suffer a lot and I don't want you to suffer. I am okay with whatever decision you make. But we have a responsibility to keep our kingdom safe. Don't forget that." Ji Ho said. "Appa, I will never forget about that. That's why I wanted to suggest Tae hyung to be the next king. He has already proved to you his worth and not to mention he is the son of a first prince of this kingdom, so it's only right that Tae hyung is to be the next king." Jungkook said.

The King was happy hearing his son's words. He wondered when Jungkook has grown up so much. "You are right Jungkook. I will talk to the ministers about this after the war." Ji Ho said. "Thank you Appa." He wished his parents a good night and left the room. "Why didn't you stop him, dear?" Chae won asked. "Jungkook is an adult. He can take his own decisions dear. We should respect them." Ji Ho said, convincing Chae Won.

After taking to his parents, Jungkook went to Seokjin's room. Seokjin was trying to sleep, but he couldn't. He was feeling uneasy. He kept on turning on his bed. "Unable to sleep?" Jungkook asked, startling Seokjin. "Jungkook...What are you doing here? I thought you won't be able to come today." Seokjin asked.

Jungkook went near Seokjin and hugged him, smelling Seokjin's neck. "I missed you so much hyung." He said, kissing Seokjin's head. Jungkook slide into the blanket, spooning Seokjin. "Hyung, did you miss me?" Jungkook asked, kissing Seokjin's neck. "Kookie ~" Seokjin moaned when Jungkook kissed his sensitive spot behind his ear.

Jungkook started leaving kisses on Seokjin's neck while his hands started roaming around Seokjin's body. He stopped kissing when he felt a slight bump on Seokjin's stomach area. Seokjin opened his eyes when he felt Jungkook's hand on his bump. "Hyu-" Seokjin turned and faced Jungkook. He kissed Jungkook's lips "I missed you so much, kookie." Seokjin said, kissing Jungkook. Jungkook smiled into the kiss and climbed on top of Seokjin without breaking the kiss.

A loud horn sound interrupted them before they could proceed further. Jungkook and Seokjin looked at each other and hurried out. The soldiers had already gathered, prepared with their weapons and armor.

It was almost sunrise. All the soldiers were ready for the war with their horses, elephants, armors and their respective weapons.

Both the kingdom's soldiers were face to face. Seokjin stood in front of his soldiers on his horse. Jungkook stood beside the king on his horse. Jimin was in the tent near the war zone, along with the medical team. Yoongi and Namjoon were on the left side of the king Hoseok and Taehyung lead the archery soldiers.

Soon, the horn blew, and the battleground filled with the sounds of clangs and bombs. Blood was flowing. animals sound and humans screaming sound was growing. Seokjin was trying to concentrate, but the smell of blood made him nauseous.

On the other hand, the Ice Kingdom's soldiers were getting reduced. "What happened? Why are we losing?" The Ice Kingdom's king asked, "Your majesty. They are using other strategy. They are not following the one which was given to us by their Yeolsoe." Their general replied. "Your Majesty, we have to come up with a new plan or else we will lose." The general hurried the king. "Are you out of your mind? How am I supposed to think of a new plan so suddenly?" The king shouted.

The Nemon Kingdom's king decided not to prolong the war. He wanted to finish this in 1 day as he didn't want to take a risk.

The war was almost over as the soldiers of the Ice kingdom found themselves outnumbered. The Ice king got down from his horse and marched towards Seokjin.

Seokjin, who was already fighting with other soldiers with some cuts on his hands and face, saw the king marching towards him. The king came with full force and attacked Seokjin. Seokjin used his sword to defend. Both their swords clashed. The force pushed Seokjin back. Pushing the sword further, the king came close to Seokjin's face. "Do you know how I killed your father?" The king said smirking. Seokjin looked at him with his eyes red. "Don't talk about my father." Seokjin shouted. He used full force and pushed the king away with his sword.

Seokjin was about to attack the king, but the soldiers started attaching him, protecting their king. The king stood up and was about to go near Seokjin. But a sword stopped him. Jungkook stood between Seokjin and the king with his sword pointing towards the King.
