★LUCIANO★
From where I was seated, I could notice the glint of fear flickering through Janie's orbs. And I liked it. I loved that my presence still had this much effect on her.
With a smirk on my face, I crossed my legs over the other and then leaned into the chair, my eyes solely fixated on hers.
Taking a slow step backward, she tried to make a run for it, but I promptly cited; “ I wouldn't open that door if I were you."
She froze.
Enjoying her disconcerted display of attitude, I didn't say a word until she finally turned back to face me.
Her lips curled up in disdain. “What do you want from me, Luciano? Haven't you done enough damage to my life already? Why can't you leave me the hell alone and stop bothering me?" She fired at me.
I hardened my jaw and said nothing.
"For two months, I thought I'd eventually escaped you, only to find you back here in my room, ready to ruin the new life I've managed for myself. You know what......you are nothing but a pest. An unwanted sight no one wants to ever behold." She spat distastefully.
Her spiteful words triggered me. They made me so furious that I clenched my fist around the arm of the chair I was seated on. If the person in front of me right now wasn't Janie, if she wasn't the one who hurled those condescending words to my face, a bullet would have gone through such a skull without even a second thought. But luckily for her, she was the woman I'd grown to have feelings for. The tiny woman I couldn't seem to take my mind off for the past two months, so instead of retaliating brutally, I just bit down on my lower lip.
Narrowing my gaze into mere slits, I ordered “Fasten the latch on that door."
"What?" She scoffed.
"Don't make me repeat myself after this, Janie," I decreed between gritted teeth. "Lock. That. Door."
My chest rose and fell in seething rage. How dare she call me a pest. Me?
I've never done anything to harm her. Because of her, I took several bullets that rendered me incapacitated for months before I finally regained myself. And now, If only she knew the things I'd been planning in her absence just to make things right. Yet, she dared to blurt right to my face— that I'm an unwanted sight, no one wants to behold?
Oh no! I promise after I'm done here, she will be reminded of how much I'm needed in her life. I'd become the sight she'd craved to see morning, afternoon, and night.
Janie looked at me. Her eyes once revealed fear, but now they were laced with uncertainty. She seemed to be hesitating for a moment, However, after battling with whatever thoughts going through her head, she tightened the latch on the door.
"Good. Now come forward." I ordered with a loud growl.
Heaving a sigh, her face wore a scowl. "What do you want from me, Luciano? You know I don't really have to obey you right? After all, I'm no longer staying in your mansion."
I watched her fold her arms beneath her breasts as she tapped her right foot repeatedly on the ground. But instead of getting angry, a part of me liked this new attitude of hers. She was starting to get more feisty and disobedient. But alas, it would only make me eager to bend her to my whim.
"Whenever I make a statement, I don't intend to repeat myself, Janie," I stated and she expelled a sharp breath before walking forward.
"A little more," I instructed and she obeyed. " A little more." I reiterated until she covered the distance between us. "Now kneel."
