Elianore's hair had gotten much softer lately, you noticed as you stroked his head while he slept on your lap.

"It makes me feel good knowing he always feels safe enough to fall asleep here." Warrick smiled as he continued shelving books.

Lynovu rattled a laugh. "Sometimes the library makes me fall asleep too."

Fracture had found a perch on top of the bookshelves, looking down at everyone. He was purring softly, watching in silence.

"Well now, the work isn't that boring, is it?" Warrick feigned offense.

"No, no!" Lynovu rattled again. "It's always calm and peaceful in here, and the smell of the books puts me right to sleep."

The door creaked and Warrick perked up, only to relax when he saw Nathaniel walking in. "Ah, Nathan."

Lynovu quickly made his exit to a different row of bookshelves, attempting to avoid another situation with Nathaniel. Fracture's purr stopped abruptly in turn, and a quick glance showed a glare that could probably kill if Nathaniel made eye contact a bit too long. But, of course, he didn't even acknowledge the cat on the bookshelf.

Nathaniel made a face at the enderman sleeping on your lap. "Can't do labels, but he seems perfectly comfy showing off your relationship."

"Eli-Enore is hardly reserved when it comes to physical affection." Warrick picked up another book. "And in his defense, I don't see (y/n) making any hurry to label their relationship either."

Elianore's face wrinkled up and he rolled over toward you, as if to dodge Nathaniel's stare in his sleep.

"See, even Warrick agrees you're being ridiculous." You stuck your tongue out at Nathaniel. "Eli doesn't mean me any harm, he's just scared. But he is plenty affectionate."

Nathaniel rolled his eyes. "Yes I'm sure that's why--" The door creaked open again.

This time Elan walked in, holding a book tightly.

"Finished already?"

"It was intriguing, and I've been taking notes in my own book in case I need it later." Elan turned the book into Warrick's hands.

"Intriguing? It's an anatomy book. And a doozy of one." It did look like quite the hefty, wordy, sciencey book.

Elan laughed. "Oh, I love it. Did you know that Endermen and villagers have roughly the same size rib cage? Ours might even be a little smaller, depending on which people you're comparing."

"Funny that you're turning into the village doctor when I recall you attacking me with no provocation whatsoever." Nathaniel decided to make a snide remark.

Elan stiffened.

Elianore jolted upright. "Hah?" He mumbled, looking around the library for a moment before seeing Nathaniel. "Oh, it's you."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Nathaniel immediately snapped.

Elianore settled back down on your lap. "Nothing. Just don't pick fights you won't win."

"But I already did win against him."

"Wasn't talking about Elan. You start something with him, you're starting with me."

Elan tilted his head curiously, but didn't say anything.

"Since you're awake, did you want to practice dancing again?" You tried to interrupt the conversation before Elianore and Nathaniel could start going at it.

"I'm awake because Pinky over here is obnoxiously loud. I'd really like a little more sleep."

"Pinky?!"
