"So, talk to me." Elan smiled, patting next to himself on the bed to motion for Elianore to sit.
Elianore slowly moved to sit. "What about?"
"Anything. I want you to talk to me. What do you need help with?"
Elianore fidgeted with his hands. "First, can I ask you to be really honest with me?"
"That entirely depends on what you're asking."
"You said I'm all good physically. But you did this thing. With your eyebrows." Elianore wrinkled up his face. "A lot. So I need you to tell me if you're noticing something that I'm not."
Elan sighed. "I don't want you to stress yourself out over what could be nothing. But the changes with your body in just a short month..." He hesitated for a moment. "Your jaw has shifted. If it continues, it could force your fangs into flesh. Your ankles and wrists have changed slightly as well, although I don't see any major health problems that could cause. Your eyes are still not dilating correctly, and continue to get worse." Elan put a hand on Elianore's shoulder. "Please don't worry yourself. Your aggression is unstable and continues to be unstable, but we are working to be able to treat it. Ultimately, it could take years for this to cause irreversible damage, and I doubt it will take that long for us to start getting it under control."
Elianore smiled, weakly. "Thank you."
Elan brushed his shoulder off. "Tell me about your...thing...with (y/n). What's going on?"
Elianore started fidgeting with his hands again. "I don't know."
"Well, what do you want to be happening?"
Elianore shrugged.
"Don't do that. Talk to me. Nothing leaves this room."
"I don't..." He glanced toward the door. "I love them. So much. But the very thought of putting a label to it..." He sighed. "Enear was my girlfriend, my partner, the love of my life, and my best friend. And she's gone. And she's not that anymore, nor has she been for a long time. But she was. Once upon a time. Everything to me. It hurts imagining putting that on someone else."
"But you want a romantic relationship?"
He nodded slowly. "I love them. We don't even talk labels. Since day one it's just been...a deal. An arrangement. Figuring things out. And my feelings have changed. But I don't know if they have too."
Elan nodded. "You should sit down with them and ask."
Elianore shook his head. "I don't want to push them into anything. I just...I want to know what they want. From me. So I can work towards that. If they want to be strictly platonic, I can work towards letting go of my feelings. If they want to be my partner, I can work towards handling that label."
"And if they want to be your mate?"
Elianore's lip trembled. "I can work my way there. It. It might take a while. But I can get there."
Elan smiled. "So you just need to have a conversation."
"Yeah. But they're busy with the festival coming up, and I'm busy with the festival...it's not the right time to have a conversation like that."
"When will it be?"
Elianore shrugged.
Elan sighed. "Don't put it off forever. Things can be ripped from you before you know it."
Elianore sighed. "I haven't heard from Emila and Exceed lately."
Elan's breath hitched. "Exceed..." Elianore turned to look at him, and Elan let out a low breath. "Exceed went missing not long ago. Emila and I split up to try to find him, but I haven't seen her since either. And I'm not well enough to keep trying to hunt them down. But it's been over two weeks. It might be time to just assume the worst."
Elianore turned back to the door. "I'm assuming that's the question you didn't want to answer."
"You need to focus on yourself. Getting yourself strong enough so that you're not the next one. Don't worry about the rest of us."
Elianore gave Elan a look. "If I'm being honest here, Elan, I'm not trying to get stronger for my sake. I want to protect you, (y/n), Exceed and Emila, this village..." He suddenly seemed less anxious, and more confident. "I want the people I love to be safe, and if I have to protect them myself to ensure that, I will."
"Just...don't hurt yourself running off to find corpses."
Elianore smiled. "I won't. Exceed and Emila know where I am. Plus, if I miss this festival, I'm going to regret living..." he shuddered. "These kids..."
Elan laughed. "Good. Was there anything else?"
Elianore shook his head. "I think between you and Warrick, I'm doing a lot better."
"I'm glad." Elan stood up. "Which means I just have a few new instructions for you and (y/n)."
You were waiting outside for them, having been chatting with Percy. "Done already?"
Elianore nodded.
Elan brushed off his hands. "Just a few directions until next month. He's gaining weight well, so I want to continue on that. Elianore, you said you usually did your own examinations?" He nodded. "So you know what 300 pounds feels like, yes?"
"Yes, I'm familiar. That's like...goal weight right?"
"Yes, but no. Goal weight for a much shorter, weaker enderman. I want you higher. But, since I suspect you're going to hit 300 pounds before our next appointment, when you hit that weight I want you to start putting a bit of exercise into it. Right now, your day to day life is enough exercise, and I just want mass of any kind on you. Once you're at 300, I want you to start building specifically muscle. I want more meat in your diet, and drink lots of milk, especially after exercising."
Elianore made a face at the idea of exercise. "So...define exercise."
"How much can you pick up?"
Elianore tilted his head. "I think...I could probably pick you up? I'm not sure I'd get anywhere with you, but I could definitely get you off the ground."
Elan nodded. "Stick to body weight exercises. Jumping, pull-ups...things like that."
"Eugh." Elianore made a face again. He paused. "So what would you call my goal weight? I want to know what I'm working towards."
Elan smiled. "I want you at 500 pounds. Minimum." Your jaw dropped, but Elan continued. "Strength wise, I want you to be able to lift that goal body weight one-handed."
"Yeesh." Elianore's brow furrowed. "I've never been that heavy."
"You've never had that much muscle. You're big. Tall, and a wide skeletal structure. Your aggression is rough on your body as well. I expect you lose about ten pounds every time you go aggressive. You need to have a lot to your body. Plus, you said you want to be strong to protect those you love." Elan looked smug. "But small goals. I want you to be able to pick me up and run, not far, by the time we next meet, and for you to be at least 315 pounds. Sound good?"
Elianore glanced at you, and then back at Elan. "Sounds good."
