"Stop!!!" Cyan yelled out.

Footsteps could be heard landing heavily over and over along the road. If it were broad daylight, anyone could see that it's five teenagers chasing another teenager with red hair. But it was dark outside and if seen from afar, probably just shadows of six figures playing chase.

Skylor kept running. She could faintly hear multiple footsteps following behind her, she forced herself to pick up the pace.

I'm so screwed, how did Pixal figure out I was there?

Skylor didn't dare to look back, she was worried if she did, she'd find all of them right behind her tail. She swiftly took a hard left and hid in an alley. As she ducked herself behind a dumpster, she stayed silent and listened to the footsteps running across, completely avoiding the alley.

Huh, who knew that'd work?

Skylor waited for a bit more before finally, assuring she was in the clear, she stood up. The silence didn't even last for more than 5 seconds before someone spoke from behind, "What a terrible hiding spot."

Okay, so maybe it didn't work.

"What were you doing outside our base?" Skylor spun around, it was Green.

"Oh, y'know...I was just...passing by-"

"You do know that's a terrible lie, right?"

The rest of the ninja appeared behind Skylor, completely blocking her way of escape. She hissed to herself.

"Let's try again, what were you doing outside our base?" Green pointed his katana towards Skylor's face, all the other ninja held out their weapons, too.

"I thought it was obvious." Skylor made a joke, is he really asking her that just to spread intimidation or is he just stupid?

"It's obvious alright." Green held his ground, his emerald eyes focused. Skylor found it quite familiar. "But I want to know more about you, Skylor."

She flinched at the sudden call of name, so the Green Ninja knows her name. It wasn't all that surprising, actually. These ninja always had an inside person, otherwise how would they had known she was outside? The one who called her out was Pixal, a.k.a the obvious inside person. Though, she's already disappointed enough that most of the ninja she's been spying on turned out to be her friends, but she couldn't care less if it means saving him.

"You're not gonna let me go, aren't you?" Skylor scoffed, it's not that she wanted to be their enemy. She doesn't have much of a choice, it's either that or her father rots in that cage.

"What do you think?" Blue responded, his nunchucks held out and Skylor could see lightning emerging from his hands. Wait, lightning. Huh, of course. She's surrounded by the ninja, and also elemental masters. So if she wants to escape, what better way to do that than to do it her own way? Her cover's blown anyway, another suprise won't hurt, at least for her.

"Alright then, I'll just have to do this the hard way." Skylor held up her hands, ready to take on all of them.

"Pfft, try us. You're outnumbered." Red gave a low snicker, Skylor simply turned her attention towards him. She eyed the Red Ninja, he who has eyes that were once so precious to her. The person she fell for, he who has hazel eyes that once reflected only teenage angst. But now, she could see the visible fire burning within his pupils. Her heart squeezed itself for a moment.

"Would you believe me if I tell you, I can grow my number?" Skylor grinned, trying not to show any signs of weakness.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Red responded, he lowered his katana, seemingly confused.
