Scene 1 (Barbie with children)
[In a field, Lola the hummingbird flies by as Barbie leads a group of children, including Emma, Olivia and Lucas. Some of the children laugh.]
Child: Look at that!
Emma: This is so exciting, Barbie!
Barbie: Isn't it? I can't think of a better way to help the environment. Okay, everyone, pick a tree and let's get started.
[The children cheer. Olivia, Lucas and three other children jump for joy. The children run over to small trees that are in pots. Emma stays standing beside Barbie and looks up to her. Barbie gestures to the trees and Emma runs over.]
Girl: I want this one!
Boy - Lucas?: Oh, I've got this one!
Girl: I want this one!
Girl: This one's for me! Come on.
[Emma smiles as she picks the smallest tree. It has a few blue leaves, unlike the other trees which are full of green leaves. Someone laughs (Emma or Lucas?)]
Lucas: You're planting that?
Emma: Yes. What's wrong with it?
Lucas: It's so small. Just look at it.
[Emma looks at the tree with a sad expression.]
Barbie: [Bends down beside Emma.] I think Emma's tree is beautiful.
Olivia: But it's tiny.
Barbie: That's true, but even the smallest tree can make a big difference.
Olivia: Really? But how?
Barbie: Have a seat, everybody. [Barbie and the children sit.] I want to tell you a story. A story that starts in a place just like this. In a beautiful field, filled with plants and flowers.
[The camera moves through some trees and there is light and a twinkling sound. A field with green bushes, and trees with red, purple, blue and green leaves is shown. There is a group of sunflowers, as well as dandelions, yellow flowers and purple flowers. Barbie's voice becomes narration.]
Barbie: The field wasn't so far from a big city, but you'd never know it. [Hummingbirds fly by.] If you visited, you would think you were miles away from any people... and you'd be right, but that doesn't mean the field was empty. Not even close. Because this field held the world of the Twillerbees.
Scene 2 (World of the Twillerbees)
[The camera goes into a large bush with light purple flowers. The world of the Twillerbees is inside. There are several houses with lights inside. Twillerbees are outside of the houses, socialiazing and playing together. Some are playing kicking a ball.]
Twillerbee: Over here!
Twillerbee: Got it! Oh, here, here, here!
[Thumbelina leaves one of the houses holding three pairs of wings she has made using large flower petals.]
Barbie: The Twillerbees were tiny. The biggest one was no larger than a grown person's hand.
Twillerbee: Hi!
[Two Twillerbees are swinging a skipping rope while another Twillerbee skips with it.]
Barbie: They lived among the flowers and had a very special relationship with nature, since they could make plants grow faster.
[Thumbelina stands on a leaf and puts the wings on it. Her hands sparkle as she rubs them together, making a twinkling sound. She holds her arms and hands out to use magic to make the leaf grow fast. It grows and rises beneath her, lifting her up.]
