Lynette walked towards the seemingly empty bedroom, Freminet didn't show up to breakfast...nor Lyney for that matter. She sighed before turning the small doorknob and carefully opened the door, "Freminet, it's breakfast" she said quietly, turning her back around to close the door again.

"Lynette... he's unwell", Lynette immediately whipped her body around to be met with Lyney, crouching down next to Freminet's small bed and holding the rubbish bin against the lips of his baby brother. Lynette's gaze softened as she stepped closer to her two brothers and placed her hand upon Freminet's forehead, "father was worried because you both didn't come to breakfast, so she told me to come and get you both". Lyney nodded before immediately turning his attention to Freminet, suddenly retching into the small bin.

He gave the twins a sad look, "I-I'm sorry...", he mumbled into his bedsheets. Lyney and Lynette shook their heads, "you're unwell, no need to apologise", they whispered symotaniously. Lyney continued to keep an eye on Freminet whilst Lynette walked out of the room in order to inform father about their unexpected predicament. Freminet mumbled, "W-what will f-father say?", Lyney smiled, "she'll tell you to rest for the day, she may be scary but she knows when one of her children are suffering", Freminet returned Lyney's smile after hearing his words.

Freminet leaned into his pillow, still retching every few minutes. His eyes were closed and his breathing was slightly steadier, not much, but slightly. Lyney still sat beside him, too worried to move away from his brother, he watched him as he finally rested, that was until he heard a few footsteps and muffled voices coming closer and closer to the door. Lyney straightened his vest out and pulled his bow tighter before watching the door slowly open, to reveal his twin sister...and father.

Father looked at Lynette and gave her a smile and a pat on the head, "that's a good girl Lynette", Lynette smiled at the compliment before moving and standing next to Lyney. Father stepped closer and closer to Freminet's bed and rested her hand on his small forehead, "he has a fever, but he'll be fine. You did well on looking after him Lyney", she calmly said as she eyed the thick book of fairytales resting on the floor next to him. Lyney nodded, "t-thank you father". Father then swiftly moved to the small pile of Freminet's toys in the corner of the room and picked out his favourite penguin plush Pers from the pile and slowly walked back to his bed.

Father placed Pers in Freminet's sleeping arms and Freminet immediately snuggled into the small plush. He squeezed it against his cheek, making it squish slightly, Freminet's breathing was still irregular, but not that irregular. Father lovingly stroked Freminet's hair as she turned her attention to the twins, "he'll be alright by tomorrow, but you both have the day off to look after him". Lyney and Lynette exchanged a look before nodding, accepting the task that father wanted them to complete.

After a few hours of deciding...Lyney was in charge of holding the sick bin and Lynette's job was to bring up various food and drink for the three of them. All of them unscented and plain as to prevent Freminet feeling even more ill, but equally as nutritious. Lyney fed Freminet small spoonfuls of seafood soup, Freminet's favourite, it lacked all spice and scent, but Freminet was still appreciative as he sickly ate every spoonful given to him. Lynette sat on her bed, eating her tuna sandwich, prepared for her specifically by father as a reward for her hard work.

"Lyney, come here and eat your sandwich before the bread goes bad", Lynette complained to Lyney. Lyney sighed, "I'm feeding Freminet, Lynette", he turned his attention back to the sickly Freminet, who gave him an angry pout and refused to eat anymore. "Come on Freminet, just a little more", Lyney whispered as he tried to feed Freminet, "n-no, you e-eat!!" Freminet groggily said as he shook his head slightly. Lyney rolled his eyes, "fine, but I'm only doing this because you're unwell", Freminet gave him one of his winning smiles, silently rubbing it in his face that he lost.

Lyney moved to sit next to Lynette and Lynette handed him his tuna sandwich. He slowly started eating, looking up at Freminet every few seconds just in case he retched again, Freminet leaned against the headboard with a pale-white face and trying his best to not puke again as to let his brother eat as he missed out on breakfast. Quickly, Lyney finished his sandwich and handed the empty plate to Lynette, who silently walked out of the room and towards the kitchen, Lyney crawled over to Freminet's bed and poked his Pers plush playfully. Freminet gave him an annoyed look as he held Pers closer to his chest, "y-you'll hurt him", he mumbled as he stroked the soft fur.

Lyney chuckled before fishing out Freminet's thick book of fairytales and standing up and laying next to him. "Budge up Fremi", he whispered as he playfully pushed Freminet, Freminet responded in a small laugh as he complied and moved over slightly. "So...the typical story?", Lyney asked as he flipped through the massive book, trying to find Freminet's favourite story, Freminet nodded excitedly as he shuffled down so that his head was laying comfortably on the pillow. Lyney smiled to himself as he finally landed on Freminet's favourite story...Hansel and Gretel.

Near the end of the story, the sky was already darkening and Freminet was travelling closer and closer to dreamland. He clutched Lyney's vest and snuggled into his chest and squeezed Pers in his arms, "goodnight Freminet", Lyney whispered to his brother as he finally fell asleep. Lyney quietly shut the book and placed it under the bed as he carefully moved out of the bed and adjusted Freminet so that he will have easy access to the bin if his illness decides to wake him. He placed the bin on the nightstand and turned off the lamp, engulfing the room in complete darkness.

Lyney carefully opened the door to be met with father, who's hand was on the doorknob. They stared at eachother for a few seconds before father whispered, "how's Freminet doing?", "I've managed to get him to sleep father", Lyney quietly replied. Father smiled to herself as she beckoned Lyney closer, "come on, Lynette's waiting downstairs, I've saved dessert for you both", Lyney turned around to look at Freminet, who was currently fast sleep in his bed. Father ruffled his hair, "I'll keep an eye on Freminet for you, go and get your dessert before Lynette eats it". Lyney nodded and quickly walked off, heading downstairs and straight to the dining room.

Father looked over at the sleeping Freminet and walked over to sit on the side of his bed. A safe distance away in order to not wake up the sleeping boy, she pushed Freminet's overgrown fringe our of his eyes and tucked it behind his ear, she smiled to herself as she whispered to herself, "I've saved you some dessert as well, you can have it tomorrow"...
