Lyney sat on the small sofa, practicing his card tricks and watching as their 1 year old brother Freminet rolled around on the floor, trying to play with his small feet whilst his twin brushed the fur of one of the stray cats she found outside. Father was out for the day, so it was Lyney and Lynette's turn to babysit Freminet for the day, not that they minded if course, Freminet naturally gravitated towards the two of them more than to the other kids in the orphanage.

Lyney looked up from his cards when he heard some incoherent babbling coming from Freminet, his small brother was laying on his back and staring at Lyney with a concentrated look on his face. Lyney cocked his head to the side in confusion, which Freminet copied, mimicking his older brother, Lyney sighed with a smile as Freminet quickly rolled over to his stomach and crawled over to a small music box in the middle of the room, finding a new way to occupy himself for the time being.

Lynette looked up from the stray cat on her lap to watch as Freminet pressed a small button on the music box and listened for the lovely, calming tune it revealed. It was one of the very few baby toys that Lynette could stand, sometimes she'd steal it from the babies room and sneak it back to her own room and listen to the tune until she fell asleep. She watched as Freminet rolled over to his back and hugged the music box closely to his chest and a sleepy smile decorating his face, Lyney chuckled before getting up from the small sofa and laying down next to Freminet.

Freminet gave him one of the most confused glances he could create before raising his arms up with a small wine. Lyney smiled a little before placing a hand on his back and a hand on his stomach and carefully raising him up to a sitting position, Freminet smiled and clapped his hands together before pointing to the music box, which was now too far out of reach for him. "Mmph", Freminet wined as he tried to stretch his little arms out to retrieve the music box, "mmmmph", his eyes started to water out of frustration and his mouth was starting to quiver.

Freminet looked over at Lyney and poked his shoulder to get his attention. Lyney looked down at Freminet, "what's wrong Fremi?", he asked in a soothing tone as he saw how upset his baby brother was, Freminet babbled for a minute before pointing over at the music box in sadness. Lyney smiled, "you want the music box?", Freminet have a solemn nod in response, "alright", said Lyney as he leaned forward and pulled the music box in between Freminet's legs, "is that what you want?", Lyney asked, with a gentle smile. Freminet's eyes lit up as he pushed the small, brightly coloured button and the recognisable, soothing tune started to play. He looked over at Lyney with shining eyes and a big smile as he pointed at the small toy in between his legs, "ga!!", he exclaimed as he slammed his hands on the floor in excitement.

Lynette watched this all happen from the comfort of the small sofa with a smile on her face. Freminet noticed as he pointed over to her with a smile on his face and babbled a little before struggling to break out of Lyney's grasp and slowly shuffling towards her. He stopped right in front of her legs and looked up to her, his blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight and his wispy-blonde hair flowing in the wind from the open window, his hands were open and raised towards her like he wanted a cuddle, his little navy-blue penguin-covered bib all messy from the variety of snacks he had beforehand. Lynette looked stared at the baby before she leaned forward and picked up the small boy and placed him on her lap, he giggled as he was raised up, when Lynette placed him on her lap, he shuffled around for a second trying to make himself comfortable.

Lyney chuckled at the sight as he stood up from his place on the floor and walked over to get his hat that was comfortably resting on the sofa. Freminet was fiddling around with one of Lynette's hands, positioning her fingers in various different ways, Lynette sat there in silence and watched as Freminet played with her fingers with a small smile on her face. Lyney skipped back over to his two siblings with his hat in his hands and sat on the edge of the sofa, both Lynette and Freminet looked up at him in confusion. Freminet reached out to Lyney's hat with a playful smile on his face, "nuh uh Fremi, watch carefully alright?", said Lyney as he watched Freminet place his hands on top of Lynette's hands with an excited smile on his face.

Lyney placed his hat on Freminet's small lap, "Fremi? Do you see anything?", Freminet peered into the hat and back up at Lyney and babbled again then shook this head. Lyney nodded with a smile, "Lynette, do you see anything?", Lynette peered over Freminet's tiny head and looked into the hat, "nope", she responded. Lyney chuckled before taking the hat from Freminet's lap and placed it back on his head, "now you two, can you both count to 6 for me?", Lynette rolled her eyes and Freminet clapped his hands a few times with a big smile on his face.

Lyney smiled, "you two ready?", Lynette and Freminet both nodded. "Okay then...", Lyney and Lynette began counting together whilst Freminet just babbled along with them: "one...two...three...four...five...six". Suddenly, Lyney's hat shook on his head, Freminet's eyes widened as he pointed to the hat on Lyney's head in shock "GA", he yelled as he leaned more and more forward on Lynette's lap. Lyney smiled at his younger brother as Lynette held him firmly in place as to not let himself get injured, Lyney took off his hat from his head and placed it in front of Freminet. Freminet reached quickly into the hat and suddenly pulled out an oversized penguin plush, Freminet spoke some babbles of excitement before he turned around and showed it to Lyney and Lynette, Lynette stared at Lyney before whispering, "is this what you spent all your pocket money on?", Lyney nodded and put a finger to his lips as he pointed at an extremely happy Freminet.

Freminet held the plush close to his chest and buried his head into the soft fur. Lynette smiled, "is that your favourite animal Freminet?", she asked with a giggle, Freminet nodded excitedly, refusing to lift his head from the plush. He looked over at Lyney before looking back at the plush and back to Lyney with a big smile, "L...L...Lw...", Lyney and Lynette stared at the small boy on Lynette's lap in confusion. Lyney ruffled his brother's hair, "yes Fremi?", Freminet stared at Lyney, still trying to find what he wanted to say..."W...wo...wov...L..L...Lwney!!".

Lyney and Lynette gasped as Lyney took Freminet from Lynette's lap and held him in the air with a grin on his face, "say it again, for me Fremi!!", he cheerfully shouted as the small baby laughed uncontrollably. "Wov Lwn...Lwney!!", he yelled as he pointed a small finger at his older brother, Lynette sat on the sofa in shock. Unable to say a word. Trying to process everything. However, Lyney was spinning Freminet around in the air and celebrating, both boys had huge smiles on their faces and the room was filled with laughter and babbles.

Lyney ran over to Lynette with a laughing Freminet (still holding on to his penguin plush), who was still processing everything and dragged her to her feet, "come on!! We have to spread the news to everyone!!", Lyney yelled excitedly as he grabbed Lynette's hand and ran out the door.
