Freminet finally stopped at the edge of the beach, the winter wind taking over his ears and the soft crashing of the waves filled him with excitement. He gripped his mechanical penguin as he gazed out over the glistening water, he knew he shouldn't be doing this without one of his siblings watching him. But he was a big boy, so what can go wrong?

Mesmerized, he slowly walked to the ocean, dropping Pers in the process. He was astonished at how gorgeous the water looked, especially on a summers night. He quickly took off his metal shoes and threw them next to where Pers was located and picked up speed, soon enough he was running into the water.

The water was cold to the touch. But it was relaxing at the same time, each time waves crashed against his feet, it felt like he was being ticked. Freminet loved it, and also wanted to see all the beauty that was hidden beneath the surface. So he continued walking down, going deeper and deeper into the vast sea.

The water was up to his neck now, Freminet was barley able to keep his head up. So he did what anybody would do. Duck under the water. Slowly he carefully opened his eyes, and see he was surprised by the vast life and greenery that was under the waves, he watched all the fish and otters swim past him, like they were parading around their home.

Freminet continued swimming deeper and deeper into the ocean. Each time, mesmerized by the view in front of his eyes, words couldn't even begin to describe what he saw. The beauty and life underwater is something that a person will have to experience for themselves, reading or looking at photos wouldn't give the same impression.

Suddenly, Freminet was snapped out of his thought when he realised that he was running out of air. He quickly rose above the surface to catch his breath, he struggled for a bit however, he managed. He looked around, underwater life was a lot better than overworld life, that's for sure, how he would kill to become an otter or even a small fish.

The sky was now pitch black. The stars were watching him... it's like what mommy said, she'd always be watching him...even if it seems like she's not here. Freminet slowly raised his arm up and waved to the stars, hoping that his mother could see him waving. Soon enough, he felt a big smile form on his baby-face, Lyney always said that a smile looks so cute on him and that he should do it more often...maybe that would make his mommy happy!

"Oh Focalors, where is he?!", someone shouted from the beach. Freminet turned around to see a small person, wearing some sort of nightgown and slippers. The person was searching the beach frantically, trying to find someone. Freminet began to grow worried, he hated the sound of someone worried or scared, he'd always try to make things better, even if that someone is a complete stranger.

It was silent for a few minutes, Freminet trying to compose himself (obviously not working), and the mysterious person still shouting for the missing person. He began to get more and more scared by the minute, so reluctantly, he swam back over to the beach-side. It hurt him to leave all the beauty of the sea behind, but he had to do it.

Whilst he was swimming, he heard a shout and rough waves come closer to him. Soon enough, he was dragged and embraced on the cold sand of the beach, "oh thank Focalors...thank the archons...". Freminet opened his eyes and met the face of his older brother, worried sick, and his older sister, wrapping a warm towel around his frail body. Lyney was shaking and he was gripping a little too hard, both our of character for him, Lynette was checking her baby brother over, checking for any marks or injuries.

After an eternity, Lyney finally let go and tilted his baby brother's head up to look him in the eyes. He looked both angry and worried, he looked over to Lynette, who made a gesture to leave. She was holding Freminet's shoes and Pers, which were once on top of a huge rock. Like they were gods...or royalty.

Lyney sighed in annoyance and picked up Freminet, placing him perfectly on his back. He followed Lynette out of the beach,  everyone was silent. Only the distant sound of the soft waves and the crackle of the ground beneath his siblings' feet flooded the night. Reaching up to the stars...he waved a small goodnight to his mother, and slowly, he fell asleep on Lyney's back. Whilst comforted by the stars, the sea, and the three most important people in his life...

Lyney, Lynette, and his mother
