"Come on Ansley you gotta help us out here" the doctor said. Yes aunt Ansley is having her baby currently and my mom, Patrick and I were the only ones in the room. She was squeezing this shit out of my arm but I didn't care.
"I can't" she started to scream in pain and I felt bad for her.
"Ansley come on I can see the head, you're almost done" the doctor said "one more push, one, two, three, push" he counted down and her grip got tighter.
She screamed out in pain and pushed one final time and I heard a small baby cry, Patrick kissed aunt Ansley's head "you did it."
"No thanks to you, this is your fault" she hissed at him "I'm so sorry, I'm just glad it's over." She sighed in relief and relaxed.
"Congratulations you two, you have a wonderful and healthy son" the doctor said and had him wrapped up in a blue baby blanket, he was the most precious thing ever. "What is the name?"
"Colton Brandon Kane" Patrick said with the biggest smile ever on his face, even bigger than when he won the cup. He was lying next to aunt Ansley in the bed and they were staring at Colton for a while.
"Hey Tor?" aunt Ansley asked.
I looked up at her "yeah?"
"Would you like to hold him?" she asked and I smiled.
"Sure" I walked over to the bed and she handed me Colton and smiled again.
"Colton Brandon Kane, born on October 18th, 2013. Weighing 8 pounds even and 21 inches long" the nurse said and I smiled again.
"Colton Brandon" I whispered to him and myself "you guys did good" I looked at Patrick and aunt Ansley and they were beaming, and both looked like they were gonna pass out.
My mom took a lot of pictures of Colton and I, and I took a lot of her holding Colton too. After about two hours in the hospital Patrick and aunt Ansley were both out cold and so was Colton, he's going to be an easy baby. I walked down to the cafeteria and I saw Jonathan getting in line for some food. Yes almost all of the Hawks' players have come to see Colton. This kid has a huge family. I walked over to Jonathan and smiled "oh hey Tori" he smiled back.
I grabbed a sandwich and water bottle "hey man, so when you and Lindsey gonna have kids?" I wiggled my eyebrows.
"I don't know if we want kids" he said.
"You or her?" I asked.
He sighed "both really, she's a model and I am always busy with hockey" we paid for our food.
"You do realize it is the exact same situation for my aunt and Patrick, right?" I looked at him and we walked back up to the rest of the guys.
"Yeah I do, but I don't know if I'm ready to be a dad, or if I'll ever be ready" he said.
"Oh and you thought Patrick was? I know he'll be a great dad but I never thought he would be one, let alone with my aunt."
"What about you, when you gonna have kids?" he teased me.
"Um not for a while, I'm in college and I'm going to be in the Olympics, I can't have a kid now, plus Holden and I don't even live in the same state" I told him.
"How far away is it?" he asked.
"276 long ass miles" I said "but he doesn't know I'm here because tomorrow is his birthday and I wanted to surprise him. I just didn't think my aunt would have her baby now"
"How old is he gonna be?"
"19, his golden birthday" I said as we got back up to the room "well I'm gonna split because I'm tired as hell" I told Jon. I said goodbye to everyone else and avoided Holden as much as it killed me I wanted to surprise him at his morning practice tomorrow before his game.
