Tonight is her date with Donnie. She feels a little weird because she hasn't told him about her arrangement with Jordan, and she hasn't mentioned her date with Donnie to Jordan.
She knows it will eventually come out unless they never see each other. She hopes that's the case so no one will know that she is seeing two members or former members of the same band.
She fixes her hair and applies her makeup. She looks in the mirror, and she is ready to go. She decided to leave her phone at home just in case Jordan decided to call her.
She really does like Jordan, and he is freaking amazing in bed, but she is just not ready for that next step that he wants to take. It has been six weeks since they have been together, and she hopes Jordan is calling his girls from his book.
She is going to try and move on with Donnie. Maybe in the end, he will actually understand that she isn't interested in a relationship. They can have some fun and then go their separate ways.
She snaps back into reality when someone knocks on her door. She walks over and opens it. There stands Donnie.
"Wow, you look beautiful."
"Thanks, Donnie, you look nice as well."
"Thanks, you ready?"
"Yes, just let me grab my purse." She grabs her purse and locks the door. He takes her hand and walks to his car. He opens the door and helps her in.
"So, how was your day off?"
"It was nice. I spent it cleaning and doing laundry."
"Sounds fun. I am the same way. I can't sit still; I am constantly working or doing something."
"Really? So, even on your days off, you are still doing something?"
"Exactly."
He drives them to the beach in Beverly Hills and pulls into a beachside diner. She smiles at him as he helps her out of the car.
"So, this is where you decided to take me?"
"Yes, they have the best food. It's a cozy place with a nice view."
They walk in and sit down, and she likes the rustic interior. Nothing fancy at all, just small and nice. She opens the menu and smiles when she sees the food.
"They have cheeseburgers and milkshakes."
"I thought this would be somewhere you would enjoy. They have the best cheeseburgers, and they have good chicken tenders."
"This is perfect." They each ordered cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. They sat and talked while they waited for their food.
Their food arrived, and her eyes lit up at the size of the cheeseburger. He was happy she liked it. He thought this would be a good place that may remind her of something from her hometown.
"This cheeseburger is really good. This reminds me of our diner close to where I grew up. After school, me and my friends would walk to the diner every day and have lunch."
"Good, that was my goal. Something to remind you of your home. So, do you still live in Charlotte?"
"Yes, I have an apartment there. Even tho I don't get to go home often. Maybe three months all year, a couple of weeks here and there."
"Are you going home for the holidays?"
"Thanksgiving, no, but I will go home for two weeks for Christmas and New Year's."
"That's good. I will be heading to see my motha for the holidays. We all make sure we are there for the holidays."
"That's good, I bet your mother enjoys that. How many siblings do you have?"
