So, she had enjoyed her days off to rest and relax. She hasn't heard from Donnie since he got upset with her because she didn't have her phone on her.

He came back yesterday, and Jordan had been gone for two days. She found a shirt he had left behind, and she had slept in it.

She called him, "Hello."

"Hey, did you make it back all safe and sound?"

"I did, but I am missing something."

"Oh, yeah, I found it."

"What did you find? Because I don't think we are talking about the same thing?"

"Your shirt."

"Oh, you can keep it and think of me when you wear it."

"What were you talking about? I am wearing it right now."

"You, I am missing you. Really?"

"Yes, really, and that's sweet. It smells like you."

"Does it? Well, I'm glad I forgot my shirt, so you have something to remind you of me."

"Yes, something to keep me company for the next twenty-three weeks. I wished you had something to remind you of me. You will probably forget all about me while you are gone."

"Oh, but I do. I have our pictures to look at the entire time I am gone. I could never forget about you." They talked a bit longer, then hung up. She fell asleep in his shirt.

Donnie called her the next day, "Hello."

"Hey, Sam, I am back in town. Can we go out to dinner tonight?"

"Hey, Donnie. Yeah, dinner sounds great. Pick me up at 7."

"Okay, see you then." He hung up.

She showered and got dressed. She was ready when he knocked on the door. He kissed her cheek, and she locked the door. He opened her door for her, and they drove to the restaurant.

"So, how was your trip to Boston?"

"It was good, I had to meet with my attorney about my divorce. I think we are actually making progress on the divorce."

"That's great news."

"So, how was your week off?"

"It was good. Went to the boardwalk and the beach. Just rested and relaxed. We start shooting your movie in two days. Are you excited to see this project come to life?"

"Yes, that's why I didn't call yesterday. Mark and I met Jay at the studio and walked around the set. He said it should be finished within five weeks. Even tho we have the studio for twelve just in case there are any issues."

"Five weeks, really? I guess I will be having a lot of late nights and long days."

"No, the movie isn't going to be so hard. We start at eight and end at six every evening. Everyone is out of the studio at six. You can edit what has been shot from four to six. Then you will leave."

"What if I don't get all my edits finished in two hours?"

"Then you will do them the next day."

He had stopped at a red light and started when it turned green. A car ran a red light, and they both yelled just as the car T-boned his car on Sam's side.

He felt liquid trickling down his face; all the windows were busted out. He climbed out his window. He ran to her side, trying to pull the door open.

He could see all the cuts and blood all over her face. He unbuckled her and pulled her through the window. He carried her to the sidewalk, away from the cars. He gently laid her down, and she wasn't responding.
