Third Person POV :

After the two older males departed, Jungkook made his way to the kitchen, his lips forming a deep pout, clearly disappointed about being ditched by his three beloved Hyungs, the only friends he had.

He heated the food for himself and the stranger, a small gesture in the midst of this unusual circumstance, then carried the steaming bowls to his bedroom—a space he knew he would soon miss. A sigh escaped him as he thought about relinquishing his familiar comforts for someone he barely knew.

Meanwhile, the boy sat on the couch, hugging his knees tightly to his chest. His eyes wandered around the room, taking in every detail. Though the new space was beautiful—not menacing like his previous one—he couldn't shake the feeling that it would become a new cage, confining him to a reality he didn't choose.

The atmosphere shifted as Jungkook stepped into the room, his presence bringing a small measure of comfort. He felt a bit safe with Jungkook. He approached the couch, placing the two bowls of mouthwatering Japchae on the table before taking a seat at the opposite end.

"Uhm... let's eat?" Jungkook offered with an awkward smile, feeling the weight of the silence between them. He didn't know how to bridge the gap, not even knowing his name. Eager to connect, he gathered his courage and introduced himself, "I'm Jungkook. What's your name?"

The boy remained silent, his gaze vacant and his lips pressed together as if grappling with the courage to respond. Jungkook rushed to reassure him, "It's okay if you're not ready to talk. I just thought knowing your name might make things easier." He said not wanting to embarrass himself anymore.

Another silence fell between them, heavy with uncertainty, prompting Jungkook to take a bite of his meal. The boy followed suit, relishing the flavors of the Japchae. For the first time, he felt a semblance of companionship—someone was sharing a meal with him, for the first time, and actually trying to engage in conversation with him, yet he still hesitated.

Once they finished their silent meal, Jungkook was about to leave the room. But glanced back at the boy, with wide surprised eyes, when in a low voice, the stranger finally murmured, "Kim Taehyung."

"Huh?"

Taehyung repeated in a timid whisper, "M-my name... Taehyung."

"Taehyung...that's a nice name," Jungkook said with genuine delight as he settled back beside him. "Would you like to talk about...you know...what happened last night?" He smiled softly, wanting to invite Taehyung to share, though he sensed the boy's hesitance.

Taehyung looked down at his hands, fingers fidgeting nervously in his lap. Jungkook quickly added, not wanting to press him further, "It's totally fine if you're not ready for that. What about your family? Do you have anyone we can contact?"

At the mention of family, Taehyung's silence deepened, his eyes cast downward.

Jungkook clueless of his torment, continued, "Like... family or friends to help you? Or I can drop you home if you want me to."
