New territory (Chapter 24)

A/n - short ass magical chapter for today , bare with me on it cause school is cramming assignments in my ass like no tomorrow but longer chapters will be written soon so enjoy

" I never thought I'd see a kid here, more so a teenager."
Alejandro huffed.
"Well it wasn't exactly my plan but that bald headed fuck that we let go is causing more shit so now you have a extra helping hand."
You retorted and the men that lied around chuckled as they got a laugh out of what you said.
"Seems she has fire in her , welcome to the city of souls."
Alejandro said as he turned on his heel and started to walk off somewhere and you , ghost and soap followed behind.

You all were currently in Mexico , a place you never thought you'd end up in. Everything was so new to you and new things meant new challenges and people but in your position everything was new and challenging.
"I told them they should've water boarded Hassan..."
You muttered and ghost snapped his head towards you.
"Dusk.."
Ghost warned and you raised your arms in surrender.
"What ? It's true."
You rolled your eyes and sighed as you followed Alejandro.

"This isn't Mexico , this is las almas."
He explained and you tilted your head confused. If you weren't in Mexico then where the fûck were you exactly?.
"Shepherd contractors are inbound  to reinforce. They're bribing hardware and they'll need room."
Ghost spoke up and explained as you all walked.
"My base is your base"
Alejandro answered back.
"Good , now where's that bald headed fuck twat?"
You referenced Hassan and soap smirked.
"Cartel safe house , now get in"
Alejandro says firmly as you neared and arrived in front of a humvee.

Well isn't this just lovely.

Alejandro opened the humvee door waiting for you and the others to get in and you watched as ghost stepped in and you followed right after along as soap did the same. As you entered the humvee the smell of musk , mint and gunpowder lurked in the air , the strong scent clouding your senses. Whistles and shouts from the other men that accompanied Alejandro got into their humvees and they started to get ready to head off to wherever you guys were going.

Ghost gave some information on what the mission would be like but he didn't give much details about it besides the fact that you knew shit was probably going to hit the fan. Ghost stood silent for the most part and soap did as well. Aside from everything else happening you looked to see another man sitting in the drivers seat next to Alejandro who was in the passenger side.
" this is my second in command , sergeant Rodolfo parra."
Ale introduces and Rodolfo turns around to face you and the others and he gives a small nod.

You gave a tiny wave and sat in your seat next to ghost and soap as you were now all in the humvee and you stood quiet but you looked down and realized that you had left your bow at base like a dumbass.
"Fuck.."
You muttered under your breath and ghost looked at you as if asking 'what?'.
"Left my bow at base."
You murmured and ghost sighed before handing you his gun from his thigh holster. You looked at him before taking the gun , feeling the heaviness of the weapon in your palm as you held it and you got a look from soap and the others.
"I don't know what's worse , giving the kid a gun or having a kid with us that also has a gun."
Soap pointed out  and Alejandro just chuckled as the others stood silent.

You shrugged and you placed the gun in the holster of your cargos and you checked the safety first and flicked it on before anything to make sure you didn't accidentally shoot your foot or your ass. The silence grew a tad thick with only the shouts and yelling orders from the men from outside of the humvee. It was all until it was broken.
"Tengo miedo a los fantasmas..."
(I'm afraid of ghosts)
Rodolfo muttered in Spanish towards Alejandro and he just chuckled and turned around in his seat to face ghost ,you and soap. The yells of men and other soldiers could be heard as everyone was getting ready to set out.
"You know Spanish ?"
Alejandro grinned and you and the others shook your heads no.
"You will."
Alejandro added in a low tone as he looked out the window with a smirk still plastered on his face.

You all soon started to drive off. The other humvees following behind you. This was a new experience. What was supposed to be one small first mission turned into a whole journey. It was new for you but it was also a bit scary. What made it scary was the thought anyone could loose there life and any moment and one small fuck up could leave the team in shambles or worse , dead. You wondered if you'd actually learn Spanish with Alejandro and his second in command , Rodolfo but you couldn't count on it since you all had other very important things to figure out already.The hums and rumbles of the other humvees
could be heard from the outside and the other soldiers leaving the base.

"You think this will end well ?"
You asked ghost quietly and he looked at you ".
"We don't know, kid , now we're in new territory."
Ghost inquires as he stood silent after.

For one  issue is another's problem but just wait a little for soon coming fourth towards rock bottom.
