As the soldiers were around cheering you huffed and wiped the sweat off your forehead that was lingering there and you looked at Rex as you calmed down. The men that were shouting and cheering still did what they were doing and they clapped and such causing to get the attention from the commander. Graves walked into the training room to see you in the middle of the circle with Rex and he had a firm look as he was walking over.

'' soldiers what is going on here.''
Graves boomed as he pushed through the soldiers to see what was going on and this caused the soldiers to go silent.
'' sir this girl has guts , she just took down rex!.''
One soldier smirked.
'' Yeah ! she beat his ass.''
Another snickered.

Graves looked over at you, his gaze softening a little.
'' is that true y/n ?.''
He looked at you.
'' they saw it for themselves.''
You spat as you recalled the moment that happened.
'' well i'll be damned.''
Graves chuckled for a brief moment.
'' nice to see you boys teaching her how its done , she'll be a fine soldier.''
He commented and he gave you a proud look.

You felt your frustrations and anger slip away from you as you saw the proud look that came from him and you gave a small smile. You looked at rex and gave a small 'sorry' look before walking up to graves. He looked down at you before speaking up.
'' i need to see you in my office alright now come along.''
He began for a moment.
'' get back to work boys.''
He spoke to the other soldiers now in a firm tone before turning back to you and learning you out of the training room.

As you walked in the dimly lit hallway the two of you made your way to his office. As you enter his office the ambiance shifts a little to a sort of tranquility for a second. The light that hung above his desk was flickering a bit but he stepped ahead of you as you sat and settled into the chair in front of his desk. He sat down and messed with some papers before looking up at you and speaking.
'' i've got word from general shepherd that there is a upcoming mission that requires me and other shadows to work alongside another team , task force 141.''
Proclaimed.
You looked up at him and your eyes widened and you got a little excited.
'' a mission ? task force 141 ? can i come ?.''
You rambled as your mind raced with all the new possibilities and experiences.
'' y/n you cannot go , you've only trained for a day and you are a liability.''
He pointed out and you huffed.

'' c,mon , i did good in training today and pus this is a chance to get me some experience.''
You quipped.
You really wanted to go on your first mission now , with all those words that rang out in the room from the soldiers earlier made you want to prove them wrong and this was your possible chance to do that. You wanted to show them that you were worthy and worth it just as all the other soldiers were and you didn't care how young you were , you wanted to prove them wrong either way if it was dangerous or not.

'' plus i get to meet the new team then.''
You added as you tried to think back on what the members of task force 141 looked like.
'' y/n...''
He muttered.
'' Please, this is my chance.''
You pleaded , your tone was desperate in a way. You wanted to meet them and you wanted this to be your first mission with them.
'' fine...''
He sighed as you gave an excited grin.

'' When's the mission ? Do I get my own gear? Do I get a weapon? Wait can i have a bow an arrow?.''
You threw questions at him left and right before he stopped you for a moment and he looked dead in your eye.
'' yes y/n you will get those things , the mission is in two days so you need to be ready. No bullshit and you do as i say got that ?.''
He said firmly in a fatherly way and you nodded in confirmation.

You were excited but most of all you didnt know what would happen and you didn't know how the other team would be but you were excited to say the least. You asked graves if you could see Rex again and he let you run off to go see him. You ran off to see Rex and you rambled excitedly and told him about how you were going on a mission and how you would be getting your very own weapon and your very own helmet and gear and being able to meet the new team.

The thrill of meeting the new team also flooded your system as well. Your mind races with a mix of eagerness knowing that this upcoming mission would be the very moment and test to prove yourself to them and to yourself as well. To prove you weren't just some ''little girl'' the commander took in but someone more than that. You were going to test your limits and you were going to prove it to everyone. You now often find yourself mentally preparing and strategizing every possible scenario. You felt you were ready to face anything that came your way but your mind was clouded from the real events that could happen but you didn't care.

Your thought of making a difference and being to help out and make some sort of difference and contributing to something greater than yourself you found that as something that was worth it all.
You were driven by a sense of wanting to prove something but you're also driven by a sense of purpose and duty. You now have an opportunity for growth and for personal and professional development. You are eager to cha;;enge yourself and to reach unknown things.

Now one's purpose is feeling fulfilled but one doesn't know what lies on the end of that hill.
