I chose love and took a stand,
Left school, job, held your hand.
Tried to protect, but it fell through,
You doubted me, that's true.
I don't blame you, it's clear to see,
My choices, my heart, it's all on me.
You taught not to give it all away,
For even marriage, couldn't stay.
Lessons learned, we're now apart,
In the dance of love, we lost our heart.
Though we're apart, it's plain to see,
I've grown stronger, hopefully.
