As I gaze ahead, my eyes fixed in place,
I turn to books to fill the empty space,
In moments brief, I feel both joy and sorrow,
And time ticks on, unyielding to tomorrow.
When I depart this world, my spirit may roam,
Lurking in shadows, watching as you roam,
Observing what I once held dear,
Now lost to me, forever unclear.
Yet in the midst of my spectral flight,
I find solace in this eternal night,
For though I may no longer be,
My memories live on in you and me.
