Ages have passed, and she's still on the run,
But there's no place left to hide or shun.
She must break free, escape the gates of trial,
Strategize each move, win with style.
In this game of life, the stakes are high,
The colors are dim, the rules awry,
But she holds the bishop with a steady hand,
And conquers the board, across the land.
Yearning for a glimmer of hope,
Amidst the shadows that often elope,
She takes her queen, with her head held high,
She rocks and rolls, while the pawns comply.
But a single moment of negligence,
Can bring the queen to a fate so tense,
She moves the rook, to trap the king,
Soon to proclaim, "Checkmate, I win".
