The next evening...
I am back in the home that I married into. I am in my bed, in my house, with my man and my little human in my tummy.
Bayanda comes in holding white roses in his hand.
Baya: there you go.
He says handing them to me and giving me a kiss on the cheek. He really is trying.
Me: thank you, baby.
Baya: we have dinner in an hour.
Me: where?
Baya: it's a surprise. We get ready and look fancy and all. We take some pictures and I post them before we head out.
We get to the restaurant and it's the same restaurant where he proposed to me.
Everything as it was decorated on that day. The waiters come out and hand me a money bouquet.
Me: okay, who's performing tonight?
Baya: I just needed this moment to be about us and only about us.He claps his hands and a song starts playing. This song is "I do" by Amanda Black, La Sauce.
Me: babe?
I say in a hushed tone with tears in my eyes.
Baya: may I please have this dance, my love?
Me: of course, my husband. We both giggle and we have our slow dance and then when the music ends. "You're all I need to get by" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell goes on. I love this song so much!!!
Baya: I saw you dancing to this.
Me: no!
Baya: yes.Oh, I love this man. The little things really do matter.
Me: there's something that I need to tell you.
Baya: yeah?
Me: I'm pregnant.
Baya: what?
Me: I'm pregnant.
Baya: baby, this is the best news ever!He picks me up and spins me around.
Baya: I love you!
He gives me a kiss and I wish it could last forever.
