Two weeks later...

I think it's about time I move on, I need to get my life together. I have been trying to find a job and I made a few calls. I have an interview today. I'm getting a job as a stay in help. It's not huge but I'll be making income.

Since my parents have cut me off financially, I should do something to make income while waiting for application season.

I wake up and get ready. I'm wearing a long black dress, a black cropped puffer and white and black dunks. I comb my hair and put it in a sleek low bun. My dad gives me the keys and I leave. My appointment is in Sandton.

I finally arrive at my new bosses house. I speak trough the intercom and announce my arrival. I drive in and greet the guards, who then lead me to his study. I knock.

Him: come in.

He says in a deep voice. I go in and take my seat right across from him. I can't help but notice the chocolate handsome man in front of me.

Him: Ms. Mapula is it?
Me: yes, sir.

He does the interview and when we're done, he gives me a handshake.

Him: are you available to start in two days time?
Me: of course, sir. I'd be more than delighted to.

The interview ends and he orders one of the guards to escort me out. I get in my car and drive home with the widest smile on my face. Mr. Gumede's new employee.

I get home and take a shower. I wear my pajamas and head downstairs for dinner. After dinner, I help my mom with the dishes. I head to my room and get into bed after washing and moisturising my hands. My mom knocks but let's herself in. I sit up straight and she sits next to me.

Mom: how are you?
Me: I'm okay, mama. I am coping better than before.
Mom: I'd like to ask you something?
Me: okay.
Mom: that day when you saw tumisho and his fiance at church, you ran out while crying. is tumisho the father of the baby?

I nod as the tears come out without warning.

Mom: I'm so sorry, my baby.

She says hugging me.

Me: he told me to not go to Varsity and that he would take care of me and all that I need. I then found out about Yvonne and everything changed so rapidly. he has become an animal. he sent me money to go and abort my baby, mama. he didn't even care to show up when I told him about the miscarriage and said that he told me to get rid of it so he wants no part in this.
