The next week...
Nkosana and Thabi are meeting us for dinner at our special restaurant.
18:00
I just finished getting dressed and we are ready to go.My daughter and I are wearing matching custom made Louis dresses and sandals. Daddy is wearing chinos that match the pattern on our dresses and a black shirt. He is wearing it with some dunks.
One thing about Bayanda? He loves his sneakers so sneakers over everything.
We get in his new, sexy, black BMW i8 and he drives off while holding my hand and placing pecks on it the whole way there.
Baya: I love you.
Me: I love you more, hubby.
Azania: bae!
Me: hush, Azi. your daughter is such an enemy of progress.
Baya: she's my daughter when she is an enemy of progress and yours when she does good?
Me: I don't remember giving birth to an enemy. We both laugh and we soon after arrive at the restaurant. He parks the car and we go in.
He picks up the baby and holds her with his left arm. He then holds my hand with his left hand.
Baya: let's go, bae.
He says looking at his daughter and we both laugh.
Me: why are you like this ye?
We get inside and find the lovely couple already waiting for us.
Thabi: you guys look like such a happy and perfect family.
Me: there's no such thing.
Baya: we try but of course, there are troubles every now and then but we make it work for the sake of our love and our little family. We exchange greetings properly and then take our seats around the table. I then place Azi in between Bayanda and I.
We have dinner over light conversations and they tell us their love story.
Nkosi: we met when I went back to Jozi. I saw her at Mall of Africa while I was shopping for some new sheets and she helped me out.
Thabi: only because he looked confused.
Nkosi: I then saw her again at a club and personally, I don't like my women going to such places.
Thabi: so he told me to get in the car. on the way home, he confused his feelings for me and he did not even waste time because a few months later, he sent a letter to my house.
Me: I'm so happy for you.
Thabi: thank you, baby.
Azi: bae!
Baya: yes, my baby.
Azi: juice. She says pointing at her juice that is on the table. Bayanda grabs it for her.
Thabi: she's so beautiful.
Me: thank you.
Baya: what are you having?
Nkosi: a boy.We nod and continue chatting.
Thabi: so how is everything?
Baya: everything is perfect. actually, since my wife has graduated, I believe that we can move back to Johannesburg.I look at him and give him a fake smile? And this is how he thought he should tell me about this?
Thabi: you're moving?
Baya: no, contemplating the move from Cape Town and back to Joburg.I just smile and go along with it.
