It has been a month since we moved here and we're still trying to get used to the way things are this side. Bayanda works endlessly and so do I. However, we still make time for each other when we can.

Bayanda's surgery is looking for two doctors that will be taking care of things there, while he focuses on the hospital for now.

He is at the hospital so I decide to make him lunch. I make his lunch and I dress myself and my baby up.

I'm wearing a long black body hugging dress and a black puffer, with white sneakers. I have those criss cross fulani braids so I don't have to worry about my hair.

I dress Azania in a cute Chanel set and I put her afro up in two puffs. She's wearing white sneakers too.

I place her in her carseat and off we go. We wear masks before entering and we take them off as soon as we enter Bayanda's office and during his break, he joins us.

While father and daughter bond, I head to the ladies room.  I do my business, wash my hands and I head out. A few doors away from Bayanda's office, I bump into someone.

Tumisho: Mapula?
Me: Tumisho, what are you doing here?
Tumisho: remember that time when we broke up?
Me: that's not how I remember it but go on.
Tumisho: I was working but I started studying medicine so I came down here for the job offers. I didn't get the job so I'm trying to figure out who owns this hospital.
Me: my husband.
Tumisho: what?
Me: my husband owns this hospital.
Tumisho: don't you think you can pull some strings?
Me: even if I did pull some strings, it wouldn't be for you.

I walk away and go back to my family. Can you believe this guy? I must pull strings for him?
