Ch 17 - Hosu Incident (1)

Kenji was lying face first on the floor in Mirikos apartment. He wasn't moving at all. At least that's what wished, but his entire body was twitching in pain from the 2 days of intense gym pain. Miriko worked him to deaths door. He had never had pain like this before. Even when getting destroyed by the Nomu he had never felt this sore.

Kenji: {I FEEL LIKE IM ABOUT TO DIE! Even with super regeneration, the pain and aches haven't faded. I could barely move 3 plates on most machines. I don't think I'm going to make 1 week of this. I'll die before one week passes.}

Miriko then came up from behind him and stepped on his back.

Miriko: Get up loser we have patrolling to.

Kenji lifted his head up from the floor.

Kenji: Where would that be?

Miriko: We will be patrolling in Hosu because of the recent hero killings of Stain and information that he will be active in that region.

Kenji had a serious look as he continued laying on the floor.

Kenji: {Everything's still the same then. I'll need to make sure our MC and Ida live through this just to make sure.}

Miriko: WHAT ARE YOU DOING NEWBIE! GET UP!

Miriko stomped on Kenji while he was on the floor. If it wasn't for Shock Absorption he knew the soreness and he foot would have been a bad combination.

Kenji: But your foots on my back.

Miriko looked annoyed at his statement but took her foot off Kenji anyways.

Miriko: Just get changed tough guy.

Kenji then got up and went to the bathroom to change into his hero gear.

Miriko: {Did he not feel a thing? He was sore at the gym but I put a decent amount of force in that stomp. Just how tough is this guy?}

Kenji came out the bathroom and left the apartment. Miriko leaving the apartment after changing. Only then did they start running to Hosu by foot. Kenji finally being given to use his quirk.

It was a dark night and as Kenji and Miriko were jumping and running to Hosu they saw smoke. And where there's smoke there's fire. Miriko turning back to Kenji as they ran towards the smoke.

Miriko: Reinforcer. I'll go ahead, you follow after checking the surrounding area for any danger. Clear?

Kenji nodded his head as Miriko dashed off faster. Kenji then ran around the scene to see civilians running away but no danger in sight. The he committed to search for something.

Kenji: {If I remember correctly Izuku runs opposite to a crowd and then avoids a faceless Nomu. This leads him into and alley where stain is. I just need to find that alley or faceless Nomu.}

Kenji running, jumping from roof to roof. Then the new phone Kenji got had an alert. He was recommended to have a separate hero phone but Kenji like the one Mina picked for him so hero support course helped modify it to work as a hero device. Kenji looked down at his phone showed a help signal and a location.

Kenji: {Shit! Midoriya had already met Stain. I've got to get there fast.}

Kenji then powered up from 15% to 20% moving faster to the direction of Stain.

Scene change

Ida: DON'T GET INVOLVED MIDORIYA HES MINE!

Ida screamed while on the wet floor in a dark alley. Another hero besides him was also laying on the floor observing watching Ida struggle to move.

Midoriya: I'm sorry Ida but butting one's nose in, is one of the principal qualities of being a hero.

Midoriya readied his fighting stance.

Ida: NO NO NO NO!!! HE'S MINE! I KILL HIM!!! LEAVE MIDORIYA!

Ida screaming while he's on the ground. He tried his hardest to move but he was completely paralysed. Midoriya looked concerned by the way Ida was acting. His friend had never acted like this before. He didn't know if this was because of a quirk or something else.

Midoriya: Ida what happened? This... this isn't you.

Ida gritting his teeth so hard creaking could be heard by the other hero on the ground.

Ida: That barstard... THAT BARSTARD!!!

Ida was about to finish his sentence when a silver blur landed in between Stain and Midoriya.

Ida: KILLED MY BROTHER!

Kenji appearing from the dust looked at Ida. Fear and shock written in he's expression. As soon as he heard those words from Idas mouth Kenji knew what he had done as he began hyperventilating.

Kenji: W... w... w... what?

Kenji terrified by what he had done.

Stain: That's right. I killed the false hero Ingenium. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the corrupt tree. YOUR AS BAD AS HIM WANTING SOMETHING SUCH AS REVENGE WHEN YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE A HERO!

Stain sad pointing his sword at Ida.

Stain: In fact the furthest thing from a true hero. You're no better than a villain. So I will kill you and get rid of one more false idol.

Stain readying to fight.

Midoriya: Kenji get ready.

[Gamers Mind stabilising users mind.]

Kenji just knelt there completely paralysed by what he had cause.

Midoriya: KENJI! KENJI WHATS WRONG!

Kenji: {I... I killed someone innocent. He wasn't going to die but I killed him. I'm not supposed to be here. I'm an anomaly. I've changed everything. I'm the problem...}

Kenji was stuck on the floor. Stuck inside his own head. The weight of what he had caused too great for him to bear.
