Ch 29 - An Unexpected Arrival

Kenji: Yes, I heard a massive explosion at ***** Road. Yes, I also think I saw a few villains fighting. Wait... No! Stay back! Ahahahaha!!

Kenji quickly placed the phone back in the holder of the phone booth. Walking out. Kenji then looked to his left where a small Eri leaned against the booth.

Eri: What was that Mr Kenji?

Kenji: Just telling them where the bad people were. I needed to make sure that if any bad people are left they get arrested.

Eri: Oh? Ok.

Eri pushed herself of the booth and walked next to Kenji, grabbing onto his trousers.

Kenji: Let's go then Eri. We got to get there before the end of school.

Eri: What's a school?

Kenji: A place to make lots of friends that are all of which are forced to learn stuff. Kinda like a prison for good people.

Eri looked a bit scared at the joke Kenji just made and he panicked.

Kenji: But every totally likes it! It's super fun and everyone is really friendly.

Eri: Really?

Kenji making a big smile.

Kenji: Really.

Eri: Ok then.

A small smile forming on her face. A small amount of excitement in going to such a nice place for once.

Kenji lowered his hand as Eri grasp some of his fingers. They then turned around and walked through the gates of the massive H shaped building. Both walking onto school grounds and inside the school.

Random 1: Isn't that Kenji?

Random 2: Yeah but whose the child? Maybe a sibling?

Random 3: But what's with the rag like clothes?

Random 4: I haven't see Kenji around recently. Didn't he beat some villain to near death.

After listening to many comments walking on school grounds and school halls, Eri holding tight onto his hand they came to their destination. A large door with the sign of Class 1A.

Kenji knocked three times.

Midnight: Come in.

Kenji opened the door, Eri hiding behind him. A lot of his classmates were surprised to see him in early. A lot of them thought they would only get to see him after the weekend. Kenji looked to Mina as they both waved to each other. No one could see Eri as Kenji didn't walk completely into class and kept himself halfway through the doorway.

Kenji: Would you know where Mr Aizawa is?

Midnight: He is probably in the staff room.  But what are you doing here? I thought you were still on suspension?

Kenji: I just had a matter to settle with him. I'll be leaving now. See you all in 3 days.

Kenji waved as he left the class and closed the door.

Mina: BYE KENJI!

Kenji heard through the door. As he walked to the staff room with a smile.

Kenji opened the staff room door and Aizawa was lying there in his yellow sleeping bag.

Kenji: Eri, see that man there. Go and give him a few pokes on the nose.

Eri: But what about my curse.

Kenji: First of all its not a curse but a quirk. Second of all, you have gloves. Lastly he secretly likes it.

Kenji said the last part with a smile but behind that was an evil grin. Eri looked at her hands and back at Kenji.

Eri: Oh yeah.

Eri then walked over to Aizawa and poked him in the nose. Then again and again. Constantly poking Aizawa. Aizawa opening his eyes seeing a small girl right in front of him. Eri stumbled backwards.

Aizawa: Who ar... Oh. It's you Kenji.

Aizawa sounded annoyed and he had visible annoyance written on his face.

Aizawa: Why are you at school early Kenji? Also who is this?

Kenji walked up and placed his hands on Eri's small shoulders.

Kenji: This is the child that you will be taking care of from this point onwards.

Eri & Aizawa: What?!

Kenji: You see I'm not fully capable of taking care of a child. Both by age and mentality. {Not after my rage induced slaughter and god knows anything else I've forgotten.} Also I am not suited to handle the quirk she has and I believe you would be a better guardian.

Aizawa: What quirk does she have and where did you get her?

Kenji: Quirk: Rewind. Able to rewind biological beings to a previous state using the accumulated power in her horn. {I think that's a good summary of it.}

Kenji then covered Eri's ears.

Kenji: She can erase someone till they don't exist. A constant reversal of wounds and age. She kinda can't control it and that's why I have put the gloves on her. Since they're not living she can't reverse thing. But as soon as she takes them off her quirk will go haywire. Also she came from a very dangerous place where they experimented on her. Don't worry, no one will come for her and there will be no more problems.

Aizawa: You didn't.

Aizawa grabbed the bridge of his nose knowing what Kenji meant.

Kenji: Yeah if you hear anything and think I did it. Particularly about yakuza stuff being wiped off the face of the earth. Just forget I said anything.

Aizawa could only stare at Kenji absorbing all the information that Kenji gave him. This child, yakuza, completely obliteration.

Aizawa: {What did this kid do this week?!} Fine. I'll take in the child and help her. But your still suspended till Monday.

Kenji: I'd have it no other way. Now.

Kenji got on his knees and removed his hands from Eri's ears.

Kenji: Ok Eri. I'm going to have to leave you with this man here. His name is Aizawa and trust me he is really nice. He may be grumpy but he's the best person to take care of you.

Eri started to tear up.

Eri: Your leaving me? Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry please don't leave. I won't do anything bad. Please don't leave me.

Something broke in Kenji. He opened his arms and slowly hugged Eri. Eri crying in his arms. Kenji was also hurting. He remembered seeing his sister in Eri and couldn't help but hurt. This all felt to familiar but he could remember.

Kenji: I'm just going home. But on Monday I'll be back. So don't worry. You will see me very often. Besides, soon you'll like this guy over me. So just wait. You'll see me again.

Eri & Tulip: Promise.

A tear fell from Kenji as he hugged Eri. The tear falling onto her shoulder.

Kenji: Promise.

Kenji then stood up and wiped the tear.

Kenji: I'll leave her in your hands then.

Kenji left the room.

Eri & Tulip: Bye hero!

Kenji closed the staff room door and quickly left. Using One for All to quickly running home as his hand clutched his chest.

Kenji: What is wrong with me. I just left her all over again.
