happy or sad?

I sit on the couch. It is still early in the morning. "Maybe we can invite Camila, Pedri, Frenkie and Mikky for a pool party? I would like some distraction.'' 

Pablo looks at me. "That's a great idea. But aren't you too tired?" I look at him with a smile. 'I know that I'm pregnant, but I can still catch up with friends. But it's sweet from you.' Pablo gives me a kiss on my lips. 

I look at his big beautiful eyes.''Pablo, shall we keep it a secret?'' ''That's okay mi vida, I thought about it myself.

"Are you gonna text Tess?" "Yea." I grab my phone and text Mikky and Camila. After a while I get a response. 'They come all four. Luckily we did some shopping this morning. They come around 6 p.m. so we have time enough to make everything ready

"Hey Camila and Pedri!" I walk over to them and hug them. "It's so good to see you, Tess!" "It's good to see you too!" Then we walk to the garden. After a while I hear Frenkie and Mikky coming. I greet them too. 

"Would you all like something to drink?" "We can help, Tess." "Thanks Mikky and Camila. I would love that.' Mikky and Camila stands up. We walk inside together. "I'd like some wine, Tess." I nod to Camila. "Me too." "Great, that's three wines for the girls!"

 Then I think about the pregnancy test. It's easy to lose the child like that. Not violent. But it's not his or her fault. 

"Nevermind, I'll take water." 

How am I supposed to keep it a secret if it's already almost impossible?

Mikky looks at me strangely. "Why don't you have wine?" "Oh, I don't really feel like it." I feel myself turning red. 

"Where is the toilet Tess?" Mikky looks at me. 'You have to go up the stairs and then take the door on the right. You then enter our bedroom, you can lock the door and then you will see the bathroom on the right.' 'Great!' 

Mikky walks upstairs. I breathe a sigh of relief. Luckily she doesn't notice anything. 

"How is everything going with your study, Camila?" "It's going great. I need to I still have to pass two exams and then I'll have my diploma.' 'That's so good!'

Mikky pov:

I walk into the bathroom. Then I see something on the sink. When I get a little closer, I see that it is a pregnancy test. 

The lines are clear. Tess is pregnant. 

I smile. That's why she didn't want wine. I go to the toilet and then I walk downstairs.

Tess pov:

I hear Mikky walking downstairs again. When I see her, she smiles. Then I remember again.

 "Shoot." 

The pregnancy test is still on the sink. She saw it anyway. "What's wrong Tess?" "You know, Mikky?" She nods and smiles. Camila looks at me. "What does she know?" I know I can't lie, so I tell the truth. 

"I'm pregnant." 

Camila screams. 'You serious? Congratulations Tess!' Camila hugs me. Mikky hugs me too. 

"Are you okay?" I look up and see Frenkie, Pedri and Gavi standing at the door. I know have to tell them too. 

I just told Camila and Mikky that I'm pregnant.' 

Pablo looks at me. I know exactly what he meant. He feels my pain from the fact that it is not his child. He knows I feel guilty, even though I can't help it.

Pedri and Frenkie look at me then they look at Pablo. Pablo laughs and nods. 

"Congratulations you two!" Frenkie and Pedri congratulate me and Pablo. 

"I was thinking, why don't you have wine" I look at Mikky and smile. 'It takes some getting used to, let's leave it at that. 

Luckily I changed my mind in time.''

 The men walk outside again. 'When did you find out?' 'This morning, I needed to throw up. Yesterday and the day before yesterday as well. 

That clever Pablo asked me when I should get my period. Then I remembered that I should already be on my period. So Pablo looked at my phone to check and according to the app I need to have my period four days ago. And I always walk exactly with the app. 

This morning we bought a pregnancy test together and it was immediately super clear.' 

I feel tears welling up and I can't stop them. "What is it Tess?"

''It's not Pablo's child.'' Mikky stares at me. ''Why not?'' ''We used protection. And we're sure nothing went wrong.'' I can see they know what I mean.

 "Do you think it is the child of the person who raped you?" Camila says quietly. "Yes." I say, crying.

Camila and Mikky has tears in her eyes. They give me a hug. "It will be okay Tess." Pablo will still love the child, even if it is not his biological child." "That's what he said and I believe it. But I feel so bad for him.'' ''That's really not necessary, Tess. 

It isn't your fault.''

When we've finished crying, we grab our drinks and walk outside. I open the parasol because it is terribly hot. Pablo turns on the barbecue. Then we sit down. 

I sit next to Pablo. I grab his hand. He smiles at me. ''I love you, Tess.'' ''I love you too, Pablo.''
