beach day

Tess pov:

I wake up slowly. I see that Pablo is still sleeping. 

Ever since I got pregnant, I've been waking up terribly early. And then I can't possibly get back to sleep. 

I quietly get out of bed and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and change clothes. I'm wearing a white swimsuit and a baby blue dress above it. 

As I walk into the hallway, I see light coming from Sara's bedroom. I carefully open the door. "Hey Sara, did you sleep well?" I sit on her bed. 

She turns to me and I see her turn red. ''To be honest, not at all. I've been thinking about Lamine all the time. I think about him all the time.'' ''It's okay girl. It will be fine.'' ''But what if he does want a relationship. 

I'm scared Tess.'' ''Why are you scared?'' ''My previous boyfriend treated me badly and I don't want to experience that again.'' ''Oh Sara, but Lamine is really not like that. 

You know, we can go to the beach today to cheer you up Sara.'' She smiles with relief. ''That seems like a good idea to me.''

As I walk downstairs, I hear stomping upstairs. Pablo woke up. I'm already starting breakfast.

When I'm almost done with the pancakes, I hear Pablo coming down the stairs. 

'Good morning sweetheart.' 'Good morning mi vida. You look so stunning.' 'Thanks Pablo.' 

I put the last pancake on the stack and then we sit down. Sara also walks into the kitchen and sits at the dining table.

'I thought it would be fun to go to the beach with Frenkie and Mikky today.' 'That's a good idea, Tess!'' ''I can text Mikky.' 'Sounds perfect.' If I text them, I quickly get an answer. 

'They also like it. Shall we meet at 11?' 'I think that's good.' I text them and they agree. 'Mila is also going with us. They can't arrange a babysitter that short-term.' 'That's okay, then we can practice.' He winks at me. 

Once we've finished breakfast, we'll get ready.

As I'm styling my hair, I hear the bedroom open, so I look over. Sara is standing in the doorway.

''Lamine texted me.'' ''How nice! What did he say?'' ''He asked if I wanted to meet him.'' 

''Where are you going?'' ''I haven't said yes yet, because I was going to go with you.'' ''You would I can also ask him if he wants to come with us.'' Sara already looks a lot happier. "That's a good idea." 

She immediately walks away while texting.

We are on the beach at 11 o'clock. 'I see the others already sitting a little further.' 

We walk towards them. 

I see Sara walking towards Lamine. I sigh in relief. It seems nice.

 I'm going to sit with Mikky. "Hey, how are you doing, Mikky?" 'It goes well! And how are you, Tess?' "Um, I'm tired and nauseous, but that's normal." 

'I remember very well when I was pregnant with Mila, that I was also so ill. It's not fun at all, but you do get something very nice in return.' I nod. 

Mila is playing with the sand. "She's so cute, Mik." 'I know. I enjoy every moment of her.' Mikky stands up. 

'Shall we go into the water?' 'Yes Nice. It's so hot.' We walk into the water. 

I see Pablo and Frenkie with Mila following us. Pablo walks towards me. 'Is everything okay?'

 'Everything is fine. And I think she likes the water a lot, cause she is moving like crazy.' Pablo puts his hands on my stomach. 'I feel it.' I smile at him. 

After sitting in the water for a while, we walk to all the stuff and I lie down on my towel. Without realizing it, I fall asleep. 

"Tess, are you waking up?" I look around.

"Did I fall asleep?" 'Yup, Frenkie and Pablo are going to get ice cream, do you want some?' 

"Sure, just do something really sweet," I say to Frenkie. He smiles. 'Consider it done.' 

Mila walks towards me. "Would you like to play with me Aunt Tess?" "Sure, what do you want to do?" 'Making a sandcastle!' I follow Mila. I see Mikky smiling. 

When I'm busy with Mila for a while, Frenkie and Pablo come onto the beach.

'Mila, would you like an ice cream?' She immediately runs to her father. I smile and stand up.

 Pablo walks towards me. 'Here is your ice cream mi vida.' 'Thank you, babe. I really needed this right now.' I give him a kiss and I eat my ice cream.

 After lying in the sun for a while, we go home. 'It was so much fun Tess, we should really do this more often.' Mikky looks at me. 'Yes, it was so much fun. And Mila is a sweetheart of a child.' Mikky smiles. 'She is very sweet. 

And you'll be fine. You're good with children, Tess.' I smile at her. 'Thanks.' 

Pablo walks towards me and takes my hand. 

''Sara are you coming? Let's go!'' She looks at me disappointed. ''Can I stay with Lamine for a little while longer? ''Yea of course, that's fine. Will you say if you want to be picked up?'' ''I will!
