Pablo pov:

I get up carefully so I don't wake Tess.

My parents, my sister and a few of Tess's friends will arrive in about 2 hours. I have to make dinner because we're all going to eat together.

I hesitate to cancel the dinner because Tess is so tired. Then I smile and am reminded of something. She said it was strictly forbidden to cancel. She said that even if she fell asleep, she still wanted them to be there for me.

She is sweet, too sweet for the violent world.

''Pablo!'' ''I'm here mi vida. What's wrong?'' I quickly walk towards her. There are tears in her eyes. ''What wrong sweetie?'' ''I was scared. I thought you left.'' I sit down. ''No, no, of course I'm not leaving without you. I can't bear it if something happens to you.'' I give her a hug. ''I love you mi vida.'' ''Love you to ma vie.'' I blush.

That nickname means a lot to me. The nicknames both mean ''my life''. But we say it in our native language.

I'm going to stand. "What are you going to do Pablo?" "I'm going to start making dinner, do you want to help?" She looks at her arm. ''I would really like to, but I can't do anything. Not even cutting a tomato.'' I smile.

"I still need an assistant for the tasting and a DJ is always useful." She smiles and stands up. ''What kind of music do you want?'' ''Guess.'' ''A sky full of stars, Coldplay.'' ''Exactly.''

We walk together to the kitchen, while I tell her what kind of food we're going to make.

Tess pov:

"Pablo, what should I wear?" I look at me. ''Something you feel comfortable in. If you want you can wear sweatpants, you can wear a dress, pants with a top, it really doesn't matter.'' I sigh.

I know he means it nicely, but I need help choosing.

It seems like I said it out loud, because Pablo gets up and walks upstairs with me. We walk into the bedroom.

"Okay, if you take something out of the closet and wear it, I'll tell you what I think." I nod and walk to the closet. Pablo sits on the bed. I take a dress from the closet, my favorite dress.

When I take off my sports leggings, I see Pablo looking at me. I ignore it with a smile and take off my shirt as well. I smile. "You can't look yet, I don't have my dress on yet."

"You are beautiful Tess, just perfection." I blush and put on my dress.

"And?" "Stunning, absolutely stunning." I smile. "Then I'll put these on."

I walk to my makeup table and sit down. Pablo walks over to me and kisses me on the head. "I'm going to take a shower, is that okay?" "Yes of course Pablo, go ahead." He gives me a quick kiss and then he walks to the bathroom.

I'm excited to see everyone again, even though I'm tired. I don't spend much time with Pablo's family, which is a shame. His parents are so sweet and Aurora is just like a sister to me.

"Hey guys, so nice to see you again!" Frenkie and Mikky enter. Mila is with them, as she thinks Hope is super cute and she doesn't bother you

"It's so good to see you again Tess!" Mikky and I give each other a hug. Mila also gives me a hug.

''Can I hold Hope? I smile. "Hope will be here soon, you can hold her, deal?" "I thought she was your baby." "That's true Mila, but Aunt Tess is a bit tired and that's why Hope is here for a while."

''Is Aunt Camila coming too? I didn't know that.'' "Because you don't always have to know everything." Mikky says to Mila while smiling.

Mila runs away. "She's so sweet Mikky." "Then you should have seen her this morning. She was completely upset that I put avocado on her bread because she really wanted nutella." I laugh. "It's part of it."

We walk to the kitchen together. Pablo and Frenkie sit in the living room. ''What do you want to drink Mik?'' ''Just a water. And if possible for Mila too.'' ''Sure.'' I take 3 glasses and fill them with water. Mila is outside playing with a ball.

"Mila, would you like to have a drink?" She immediately enters the kitchen and drinks her drink.

''How are you Mikky, and the little one?'' ''It's going well, very well. He is growing well and I feel much less bad than with Mila's pregnancy.'' ''That's very nice.'' ''That's right.''

The doorbell rings. "Excuse me." I walk to the front door and open it. Camila and Pedri are standing at the door. "Hey, so nice to see you again!" I give Camila a hug.

Pedri has given Hope to Pablo, who has now also joined us. I give Hope a kiss on her cheeks. She laughs. "I miss her so much." I say sighing. ''I understand that, Tess.

''Can't she stay with us tonight? And what about tomorrow too? Please Pablo.'' He smiles. I see him doubting. ''I think that is possible.

We don't have training until the afternoon, don't we?'' Pedri nods. "Great!" I say happily. We walk to the kitchen together.

''Mila, you can hold Hope. Are you going to sit on the couch?'' Without saying anything, she sits down on the couch, with her arms open. Pablo places Hope in her arms.

''Hey bestie. I'm glad to see you again. I missed you.''

I look at Mikky. She smiles. "So sweet." I whisper. Mikky nods.

''It was so nice ma vie. But I'm really, really tired.'' We lie in bed together. Hope is in our room, in her own bed. "I'm tired too, but it was all worth it." I nod.

Then I watch Pablo. Those eyes are just indescribably beautiful. And his lips so beautiful and soft. "Do you want kisses?" he says in a whisper. "I could kiss you all night long." "Same with me." He kisses me. I kiss him back.

I lie on his chest. The familiar movement of his chest rising and falling and the smell of him reminds me of home. A tear runs down my cheek. One of happiness. ''What is it mi vida?''

''You are the male figure I always needed in my life Pablo. When I found you, my heart found a home. And I am so grateful for that.''

Pablo takes a piece of hair and puts it behind my ears. ''My heart is full of you Tess. And that is the best feeling in my life.'' he says in a whisper.

Then we fall asleep in each other's arms.
