The call

"Leo can we please talk about this? You can't get upset with me for trying to move on. Im not aloud to be upset that you lied about your death but you're aloud to be pissed off that I moved on after your so called death?...no, that's not it you're pissed off because another man got me pregnant and it's hurting your stupid ego." He punches the punching bag puncturing a hole into it. "Get out!" He grabs me roughly and shoves me. "Get the fuck out!" Jason stands by me. "Come on Leo that's not cool. You need to listen to her and understand her side." Leo sighs. "Go please, I need time to think and process everything." My ears twitch and I quickly turn and see Ember crying as she crawls closer to the edge of the ramp a few feet away from the door. "Mama!" She cries. "Jason!" "I got her." Leo runs over to the ledge and catches her. She cries louder pushing away from Leo. My ears go back and I sigh. "Thank you Leo." He doesn't respond as he hands me my daughter. "Jason, how the hell did she get down here?" I ask a bit irritated. "Who left the cave door open?" Dick walks down the steps. I glare at Jason for his carelessness. "I didn't expect her to follow, I thought it closed back." I roll my eyes shaking my head at him. I take our daughter back into the mansion and into her play pen while I go and get her a snack. My phone rings, it's an unknown caller, I will ignore it I doubt it's anything important. My phone rings again so I pick it up annoyed. "What!" I snap in the phone. "It's April did I call at a bad time?" I sigh pinching the bridge of my nose. "No, you didn't, what's up?" I lean against the counter opening a fruit cup. "Angel called and told us what happened. Are you ok? Leo is usually understanding." I hand her the fruit cup and sit on the couch. "Yeah, well he wasn't. I will be fine, we will be fine and hopefully whatever the hell is going on will end so we can go back to our somewhat normal lives and Leo and I can have the time to patch things up that's if he's still pissed with me." I sip my wine. "Jason and Leo used to be close, now they are barely speaking to each other." April chuckles a bit. "It's not like you two had an affair, Leo was or what we thought was dead. He can't be upset about that." Finally! Even April gets it. I wish Leo would understand the situation instead of being stubborn and hardheaded." Continuing our conversation I watch the kids come in and out of the living area. Jason sits across from me running a hand through his hair. "Hey April I will talk to you later, ok?" I hang up the phone. "What's wrong?" He watches Ember as he speaks. "Well we know joker is behind the attacks sending his followers to attack people randomly, especially the family of superheroes. We don't know how he's doing it since he doesn't know any of our identities." I think for a moment and it clicks to me. "Luring you guys out, creating traps to get you out to do a job that doesn't exist that's how he's hunting you guys but he's going after your big gun, one that everyone knows who has a close relationship with each other. Superman and Lois. Take out the big guns and the whole league is vulnerable." He gets up. "Damn, are you sure?" I shrug. "It makes sense." He kiss my cheek. "You are a genius!" I smile. "I know." Jen walks in annoyed. "What's wrong?" She sits next to me. Her hair is in a ponytail. "How long do we have to stay here?" I grab my hand trying to sooth her. "When your father and the others give the ok that it's safe. What are your siblings and cousins up to?" She moves her hand from mine. "They're sleep, are you and dad ok? Are the two of you going to break up?" Before I could answer Leo walks wiping his face with a towel. "No we're not breaking up, we are just having a bit of a disagreement and right now I'm just in a mood about it. Couples go through it all the time it's normal. Go upstairs I need to talk to your mother." Jen does what he says and Leo sits next to me, our legs touch and I blush. Oh how I missed his touch even if it's small it's nice. "I thought about it and understand why you did what you did. You were alone and sad grieving for me and realized years later you needed to move on I get that part. What I don't get is why keep that secret from me? I'm not happy that you kept this from me." My ears go back. "I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to hurt you I just didn't know how to bring up the fact that I have started a family with Jason, one of your closest friends. I'm sorry." He lifts my chin up. "I'm sorry too for not understanding." He kisses my lips and gets up. "Where are you going?" I ask. "Back to the cave to help them find Joker and figure out a plan. Mikey is ordering take out later. I'm surprised he's not ordering pizza. I'm also going to talk to Jason." I nod and he leaves. I play in my phone while watching Ember play in her pen. "Blue!" The girls come and sit with me. "Are you and Leo ok now?" Kiki asks. "Yea we made up." They all sigh in relief. "Finally!" I giggle and roll my eyes. Before I say anything else all of our phones ring at the same time. We put it on speaker uncontrollable laughter can be heard then it hangs up.
