Chapter 6 game day vs Brighton

Alex pov
I wake up to my alarm screaming for me to wake up. I wake up and slap it off. I get a sudden boost of energy it's game day, my debut. I get up and run down stairs I see Leah sipping on a coffee. She turns to me "oh my god are you ok?" She says voice laced in concern "it's match day Leah! It's match day!" She laughs "where you like this at Everton?" I smile ear to ear "well my first game yeah but this is my life long dream Leah, to play here for Arsenal." She smiles "alright then remember we get breakfast at the stadium" I nod still basically jumping up and down with way to much energy for my own good. She starts "jeez save that energy for the match or else you won't be able to run" I try stay still which she just laughs at "I can see your busting to do something go get ready I've already showered so I just need to get into my Training gear" I nod and run up the stairs her laugh echoing around the house. I get my stuff have my shower get in my training gear and run back downstairs. Leah is now in training kit "I guess we can head off early and get breakfast early" I smile as we hop in the car. I have calmed down a bit and the drive to Emirates is about 20 minutes. We sing along to songs on the radio. I don't think Leah noticed but she's accidentally placed her hand on my thigh. There is a huge strip of red all over my face as I notice her hand placement. I just look out the window trying to hide my face, I don't want her to notice my blush. I turn to look in the car mirror and I see her starring waiting for me to look smirking. I quickly look away as I hear a little chuckle, she starts moving her thumb on the same pot on the outside of my thigh. If I wasn't a tomato I now was. I do everything in my power not to focus on her hand placement and just pay attention to the car engine until it stops. I look up and see that we are here, thank god I could not survive another second. I was so flustered. I unbuckle my seatbelt and turn to Leah who is looking at me with a smirk on her face, she knows what's she's done. She reaches her hand up and holds my check still and leans in whispering in my ear "your adorable when your flustered" before pulling away letting go of my face and thigh and hoping out of the car. Leaving me frozen in a semi gay panic. I hear her open the boot of the car and say "come on the games not going to play it self" I quickly snap out of whatever trance I was and hop out the car and grab my kit bag. Leah still has that smirk on there face. The red on my face as turned to a light pink but the butterflies have not disappeared. Damn it Leah. I look to see 3 other cars here Caitlin &lia , Katie's and Kim's. We walk into the locker room and place out stuff away before heading to the cafeteria for breakfast.we walk into talking

Caitlin sits with Lia arm around her waist and is the first to spot us. "ALEX!" She stands up I stop I know what's coming I tense myself up for impact as I expected I am hug tackled. I find my self on the floor with Caitlin just laughing. Leah stands over the top of us "jeez Foord you can't be injuring our new player on her debut." The 3 of us laugh. I sit up to see Katie , Kim and Lia looking. Caitlin helps me up when I hear running I look up to see Katie running at me i tense up again and boom hug tackle from Katie back in the floor again. Now we all are laughing. Katie sits up "since Caitlin gets to do it I do" Caitlin looks at her "nope I have been doing it for years , she just expects it" Steph walks in and sees us all on the floor and just sighs "let me guess Caitlin tackled Alex so you did too how surprising" everyone is laughing and Steph helps me up "Stephy help me, carry me to safety" she laughs and holds her arms out for me to jump to which I do and she just carry's me bridal style earning more laughs. Steph puts me down in the food line so I can pick my food out. "Thanks Steph"it's an ongoing joke with Steph and I that we jump onto each and Cary each other like that after a incidents few years ago when there was a spider at Steph's feet and she jumped onto me and I carried her around like that. Now it's just our little inside joke.I look over to see Leah glaring in out direction but not at me but Steph. Wonder why at that moment Caitlin nudges Leah and starts laughing about something Leah has a look of disapproval on her face. I turn to Steph "hey Stephy Leah was just glaring our way do you know why? She was fine a minute ago" Steph thinks for a seconds and has I look of realisation on her face she  sjust smiles placing a hand on my shoulder "don't worry about it" Steph keeps her hand on my shoulder and I look at Leah "Steph she's glaring again what did you do?" Steph laugh then takes her hand off my shoulder "don't worry about it ok? Just get your food" I turn around and walk down getting scrambled eggs and bacon.I go and sit opposite Caitlin and next to Katie as Leah sits downs on the other side of me. I just start eating. One I finish and just join in convo with the others I stop talking for a second and just listen. Leah is listening to so it surprises me when I feel her hand on my thigh again. She starts drawing circles on the top of my thigh and I just feel my self go slightly pink, I look at her seeming completely unbothered deep in conversation with the others. She's doing it on purpose. I remove one of my hands from the table and just place it onto if her hand getting it to stop. I feel her start to move her hand away but I just hold it there. I begin to draw circles on her hand, I look at her she's still on conversation but is now smiling. More people start to arrive so I remove my hand and she does the same.I stand and greet beth. "Beth!" She smiles back at me "Alex my girl how are you are you excited?" I smile "ready as I'll ever be" still smiling she hugs me "that's great"I feel her tense up a second later "Beth what's wrong?" She whispers "Leah is glaring daggers at one of us but I don't know who" I laugh a little "yeah she was going that after Steph carried me around the cafeteria, she was fine before in the car" I feel Beth smirk "wanna try something?" I sound confused "Um yeah sure" she whispers in my ear "Pretend I said something really funny and laugh as lot, let go of the hug but put your hand on my shoulder ok?" I laugh really loudly "omg Beth your Fucking Hilarious" I place my hand on her shoulder and laugh a bit more. Beth then whisper after a few seconds "alright stand back up and give me a hug again" I slowly stop laughing and give her a hug. She whispers in my ear still while looking at Leah but I can hear her smirk "she's still gearing, imma get some food brb" I nod let go and she pays my back walking off. I turn to look at Leah so is glaring Beth down as she walks away, I wonder what's up with her I'll ask later.I sit back down in my spot I was before just talking to people.
