After Alex and I left the hospital, I got a text from Mark. He was my boss on this dig. He texted "Hey, Annie. I know you are dealing with personal issues right now but I need to know when you will return to work. Also, I have received a complaint from your supervisor, Dr. Cormier, so please remember to
keep a professional attitude while working." Wow. What the fuck was that? I told him what happened with Matt, so it was dumb for him to say 'personal issues'. Also, fuck Sydney. I mean, 'Dr. Cormier.' But as much as these things bothered me, I was really happy. Matt was fine, in fact the band is going back on tour again next week. I was coming to the soundcheck again this time, and we all hoped it would go swimmingly instead of resulting in a near fatal accident.
"Hey Annie?" Said Emily. "Yeah?" "I don't want to be the bearer of ridiculously hilarious news, but apparently seeing someone almost die somehow makes someone fall in love. Mia has a crush on Matt." "HA HA HA HA I'm sorry that is hilarious!" So now there is another couple brewing. "Wait. Emily,where is Mia?" I asked. "I have no idea....." Emily said sarcastically. We both laughed for a while.
