Chapter 16- Record Label!

"Hey I'm taking my lunch break." I said to my colleague, Cooper. "Okay, I'll cover for you if Cormier comes back!" He said. It took me a second to process, he's the only person I've ever know from Texas, his accent is thick! When I got to the break room, I took out my phone to see 8 texts from Alex.

HEY! I KNOW YOURE AT WORK, BUT I HAVE EXCITING NEWS! -Alex

AHHHH PLEASE CALL

I KNOW YOU ARE STILL NOT ON YOUR BREAK, BUT CALL BACK WHEN YOU ARE!

Ok I'm picking you up from work today at 5:30, that good with you?

YES?

OK NOW CALL ME ITS NOON I KNOW YOURE ON BREAK!!!!!

Gee, Alex! I immediately called him. Whatever this news was, it better be important.

RING------- RIN--

"ANNIE WE GOT A RECORD DEAL!!!" Alex screamed.

"That's amazing! Im so proud of you guys!!"

"YAY!!" Matt screamed.

"I CAN't WAIT FOR YOU AND EMILY TO GET OFF OF WORK!!" Mia screamed

Beeeeeeeep - Emily added to the call

"Hey guys, what's the big deal!"

"WE GOT A RECORD DEAL!!" Nick said.

"That's great! Im so sorry, I'd love to talk, but my lunch break is ending!" Then Emily hung up.

"I'll text her and see when I can pick her up." Nick said.

"Okay, lets all meet at our house!" Alex said.

Then we all said our goodbyes and we hung up. I headed back out to the main hall, and Cooper ran up to me and said, "Hey, you must have a way more interesting life than me! Who was screaming on the end of the line! Goodness, he was really excited!" I paused. "Sorry, sometimes I can barely understand you!" "Same here" he said. "Well, its a bit of a long story. Ill tell you tomorrow. But right now, we need to deal with that hoard of girls screaming!" I pointed to the ancient Egypt exhibit, where a hoard of teenagers crowded around an emo-looking guy and his girlfriend. They were so loud, I could barely hear myself think with them over there! Huh, he kind of looked like the guy at the Edinburgh airport.... Maybe he's the same guy! I ran over and immediately pushed them away from the extremely valuable artefacts and said to the guy, "Hi! My name is Annie Walden, I sort artefacts in the back, but right now I'm the only one on duty to deal with this madness! I apologise, but unless you can get these people either out, or away from the artefacts, I need you to leave." I said. "Im so sorry, I don't want these people here either! I'll go." He said, clearly embarrassed. "I really didn't mean to be rude!" I said. "Oh its our fault, really Im sorry." He said. I escorted him out along with the hoard of people. I looked at their signs, they read, "IM A PHAN!" huh, I'll have to google that.
At 5:30, I went outside to be greeted by a car (Matt's) full of the band, and Mia, Emily, and Katie. I hoped in. I sat next to Alex, who immediately kissed me and hugged me. "FINALLY!" He said. I couldn't fight the smile on my face.
"Hey Mia, today there was some guy and a hoard of girls were following him! I was terrified they'd break something, so I asked him to leave, but any idea who he is?" The reason I asked was Mia was our internet guru. Oh, were they carrying signs that said 'phan' on them? Mia asked. "Yeah" I said. "Well, I saw them walking towards the museum this morning, that was Dan Howell, a youtuber."
She said. "A what?" Eh, whatever.
When we got home, an array of food and drinks were already laid out. As usual when we had a party, by 2:00, everyone was passed out drunk somewhere.
I woke up next to Alex, who seemed to be too tired to wake up. I got up and got dressed. Everyone had left. I looked around the kitchen to find something to eat, and found Alex's found vibrating out of control.........
