Chapter 17 - Possible hints about Ella

At 22.45 pm i stand in the corner of the 4th floor and keep my arms crossed on my chest. I look at Drew who is waiting for the others with me and i realise his gaze is resting on me, or.. Around my lips area. They wanted to meet me for possible edvidence of Ella but this time Kevin was the one to write me a letter because Drew hurt his hand somewhere. 

"But can it be?" I hear Da rew's voice ask. "Maybe.. But we stay on her side anyway", Lucifer answers quietly somewhere downer in the stairs. "Of course but what if she diecides to go into a shock and leave us all?" 

"She WON'T do that."

I look at Drew to ask about what is going on but he only turns his face away. 

"Holy cow! Vaelra please, calm down there hun..", Lucifer panicks. He hugs me warmly. "It won't possibly be right because soul eaters can't stay in human body for years so we can maybe close that tragedy out of the game right away", Drew says as soon as he walks out of his room, his hands full of paint stains. "True", Darew says, nodding. "How many years have you known eatchother?" Drew asks and leans perfectly against the sofa. "About 8 years", i say and look Drew in the eyes at the same time. "No way soul eater can stay in human body for 8 years. So, Ella is not secretly a soul eater. No way", Kevin says and brushes his hair to the usual messy way.

Some days later in school i am just about at my locker when our school's "popular girl" calls me, Veera is the girls name. I just mumble hai when i take my books and she walks beside me. "Where Ella is? Skipping school?" Veera asks, i'm not even sure if she is being mean or not. "We are doing a school project together and she hasn't done anything", Veera explains. "I don't know where she is eather, she doesn't answer my calls anymore", i say and my heart aches a bit. 

After school i walk home with Veera. Maybe she isn't so bad after all.
