Chapter 14 - Saved

I wake up from a dark place, i close and open my eyes again to see something. I feel a comforting warmth around my body but i can't just ignore the fact that i don't know where i am. I move my hands next to me to get up but i can hear someone whispering "Shh.." next to me, the voice is deep and calm like someone had just woken up. 

I flinch, i thought i was alone. A heavy cover prevents me from moving and i can feel someone cradle their fingers around my wrists, if i would now try to move, it would be impossible. The same man turns me around on my other side. That vampire is familiar. "Darew?" i whisper. "Calm down Vaelra, your safe now..", Darew says and lets go of my other wrist. "Did you guys get hurt?" i worry. "Don't be sad", he says with puppy eyes. "You got hurt more", he says and touches my face. "You got hurt, if you wouldn't have closed your eye, you would be blind from your other eye now", Darew whispers. "How about others?" i ask again. "Kevin got a minor cut on his finger", Darew admits. "Where am i?" i ask. "On Kevin's bed", Darew says calmly. "Rest for a moment, ok?" Darew says and opens the bottom beds curtain. 

Someone lies down next to me. i open my eyes. "Good evening", Kevin says overly politely. "Sorry", i say and get up to sit, when i do i feel like my body is too heavy for me to hold up. "What? Why?" Kevin asks now confused. I push the cover away but Kevin slams my back against the wall. "Where do you think your going?" he asks and raises his other eyebrow. "Your staying here", he says. "What!?" i ask surprised. "I can't stay! This is your bed!" i protest. "Oh yes, my very own dear bed", he says and pats the mattress. He can't contain his laughter anymore. "Your all messed up", Kevin laughs. "Ok Vaelra, you will stay over night. You can sleep on my bed, i will sleep on the couch. Clear enough?" Kevin explains. "But", i start. 

He sighs and says my name wrong on purpose. "I beg you!" he says and looks like he is from some type of drama movies scene. "Fine", i sigh, knowing he could fight with me all night otherwise. "Thank you", Kevin sighs and then leaves me to sleep on his bed, under his cover.
