"Alison! what are you doing here?" my dad asked me surprisingly
"where's Luke? and the twins?" my mum asked me
I didn't know exactly what to say.
if I told them I ran away, they'll think I'm a bad person.
I wouldn't blame them if they said it.
because I am.
who leaves their children on the other side of the world?
and a boyfriend who would do anything for me.
my mum and dad just looked at me, waiting for a reply
"I had to get away" I said telling the truth
"what are you talking about?" my mum asked looking really confused
"I don't know what's wrong with me" I said as I burst into tears in front of my parents
"what are you talking about? Alison what have you done? where's Luke and the kids?" my dad just kept asking me questions
"in Australia" I said keeping my head down afraid to look at their faces
"what, do they not want to visit their in laws?" my dad said giggling
but I wasn't laughing.
my dad stopped giggling and his facial expressions just changed.
"Alison! does Luke know you're even here?" my dad asked me starting to get quite angry
I just stood and shook my head.
"does anyone know you're here?" my mum asked
"nope" I said
"wait, what? how did you get here? why are you alone? why doesn't Luke know? have you split up? are the kids okay? Alison tell me has Luke hurt you?" my dad said just asking question after question
"wait dad what? no way Luke's an amazing person and he would never do anything to hurt me"
"then what is it that's wrong Alison?" my mum asked looking quite worried
I didn't know what to say.
I just paused for a moment before finalising in my head what to say.
"I think I'm having a breakdown. I don't know what's happening to me" I said starting to cry
my mum and dad just looked at each other and came over to give me a hug.
