11th Chapter: Fun despite the Gloom

(May 2024 - Present Day)

Max feels herself slowly beginning to wake up, the warm and soft silk gold thin sheet being over her body, her being laid on her stomach with her hands under the soft pillows, her bare back being revealed.

She opens her eyes, her turning over when she doesn't see Lucas in the bed, her going to grab her phone on the nightstand and look at the time, her seeing numerous missed calls and text messages, her seeing that it is six already. "Shit!" She curses loudly to herself, her sitting up in the bed and beginning to look around for her clothes.

She jumps lightly when she sees Lucas seated in his desk chair, him just looking at her while he smokes his blunt, golden lights being on in the room. "You creep why are you just staring at me?"

Lucas continues to eye her while he smokes, him being dressed in his black and blue suit and tie. "How'd you sleep?" He questions while looking at his blunt.

"Maybe you can answer that. Your creepy ass was probably staring at me while I was." Max says while she looks around, her holding the sheet against her bare body. "Where are my clothes?"

Lucas points towards the folded clothes on the nightstand across the room, Max rolling her eyes before putting the sheet around her and walking across the room to get her clothes. "Your friends, they were with you in Hawaii?"

Max looks at him while she puts on her clothes. "Yeah why?"

"And didn't the same thing that is happening in our city happen in Honolulu, which they were at first?"

Max just raises her eyebrows at him. "I don't like what you are insinuating Lucas." She shakes her head. "Cassidy Hillard and Romano are my friends they helped me greatly after what you did to me, after all of the shit you put me through."

"Yet they are in the two cities that these dealings are happening in." Lucas goes to stand up.

Max rolls her eyes. "Piss off Lucas, I'm not about to do this with you."

Max gets to the door and she is gets it open about half way before his hand goes to the door to slam it shut, her jumping from the sudden loud noise.

Max turns to look at him, his hand being on the door while he eyes her. "Lucas...don't do this."

"I don't trust them." Lucas states.

"You're just scared someone other than me and Erica is going to find out your precious secret." Max glares at him.

"When we discuss at Nancy's place, I do not want them near there." Lucas states.

"That's not for you to decide." Max shakes her head. "They came here to help."

"Seems rather convenient." He shrugs.

"Yeah it seemed rather convenient too that you were ready to be the perfect guy for me. Oh wait you aren't you're insane." Max deadpans simply.

"Yet you ride my dick like no other." Lucas deadpans.

Max just clenches her jaw while she closes her eyes, her just shaking her head while she lightly chuckles. "You are not anything special...just because of this Lucas." Max states, her eyes opening back up. "This was a one time weakness thing, it's not going to happen again."

"We'll see." Lucas says.

Max turns back around, her going to try and open the door but Lucas hand is still against it. "Lucas..." Max starts while her back is still turned to him. "Let go of the door." She carefully says.

Lucas front goes against her back, her gripping the door knob harder. "You have a little something on your neck." He says in her ear. Max's eyes widen, her stepping back when Lucas takes his hand away from the door. "More like multiple."
