45th Chapter: Reunion

(January 2025 - Few weeks later)

Max wipes her eyes a little when she hears her alarm go off, her hands being under the soft plush pillows with a silk gold pillow case, her being laid on her stomach. Max groans in annoyance from the alarm, her going to put the pillow over her head.

Lucas goes over to her phone, him going to click on the stop option. "Max come on, you have to get up."

"Snooze it." Max says.

"You've been hitting snooze for the past thirty minutes." Lucas says. "It's eight."

"Eight?!" Max quickly jumps up.

"Yeah and school starts at eight thirty, and you know you don't take thirty minutes to get ready." Lucas says, him already wearing a suit.

"True." Max shrugs. "Eh I'm not about to rush." She gets up from the bed. "You look handsome! Love you!" She goes to the room across from his.

"Love you too." Lucas replies.

Max goes to get in the shower, her beginning to take a everything shower. They arrived back to Hawkins yesterday around four in the morning and they just decided to take that day to rest to get ready for them going back to their routines of school and work, it mostly being work for Lucas since he is taking online classes, and the pace of his mind causing for him to always be caught up on assignments.

Max gets done in the shower after some long minutes, her going to dry off and moisturize before blow drying her hair and going to put more hair product in her hair before curling it, her putting the top half of her hair in a neat bun and letting the rest hang down, her letting some strands hang free.

She makes sure to get ready even more since today is the grand opening of Redness and Black here in the city, it already being talked about everywhere and she can't wait for it.

Max leaves out of the bathroom after she is done, her going into her closet and going to look around at the full neat closet with a smile, her still having more clothes she needs to hang up in her other closet. She goes to put on some red bra and underwear before she looks around the closet.

She first goes to pick out some black high rise skinny legged slacks, her going to put them on and button up the three buttons, her going to look around more before she spots a red lace strapless corset shirt, her going to put it on then a black leather jacket, her lastly putting on her red closed toed heels with black jewels at the front.

She goes to the bathroom, lightly putting on some black eyeshadow then her mascara on her top and bottom lashes and some light foundation, her applying her red lip gloss after she is done, going to put on her red and black jewelry Lucas got for her, then the new Aurora perfume that she now adores that he got for her, her spraying it all around herself before putting her essentials in her red leopard purse, her leaving out of the room.

Lucas looks at her when she makes it to the large space in between the kitchen and the living room, him smiling at her look. "You look all glorious and ready for your grand opening."

"I am." Max smiles. "You're coming to it right?"

"Of course I am." Lucas goes to stand in front of her.

Max smiles more at him. "Drive me to school? Something is wrong with my car it might be time to replace. Which my Dad doesn't mind doing I don't mind doing I just really liked my baby."

"I see." Lucas nods. "What happened to your bike?"

"Those goddamn idiots took out the parts for it when we drove to that Bunker escape room, it's gone." Max throws up her hands. "I liked that bike too."
