Kyree had grown fond of Mari and her group. The six of them had been using a crate as a table to play a little card game when Lara rushed over the Kyree.

"Kyree!" She pulled him away from a winning hand.

"What?" Kyree wasn't exactly happy.

"Louie has been spotted." Those four words sent a shiver of horror down Kyree's spine. "Your father is with him." Those only added to it.

"We need to out run them!" Kyree then ordered everyone to pack everything up and move out. "As long as we stay ahead of them we'll be fine."

"Kyree, dude," Calvin walked over to him, "What's going on?"

"My Father and brother have come to stop me." Kyree's voice changed drastically at the mention of his family. Calvin was taken aback by the hate that coated his voice.

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Mari was next to Calvin instantly. Both had the same idea in mind: if Kyree is forced to go back, their difficulties in finding the Temple will return to what they used to be.

"Get to your horses," Kyree commanded them. Once everyone had loaded up, Kyree rode to the front of the caravan and charged forward. Everyone followed at the same speed. They had been riding for twenty minutes before Kyree pulled his horse to a stop.

"Impossible..." Lara moved herself in front of Kyree.

"Not if you Flash," Louie stood in front of everyone. His father remained motionless and stared hard at Kyree.

"Shall we hide?" Calvin asked.

"Lets," Mari nodded. The two brought Jared, Nadia, and Devin behind a wagon where they would be able to watch the scene, but not be a part of it.

"Kyree, come here." His father's command was scary calm. Without getting off his horse, Kyree trotted forward.

"Let us talk away from everyone." Kyree moved his family away from his little group.

"Shouldn't we help him?" Devin asked. "He did give up a winning hand in order to take care of this."

"This is his family, which makes it his problem." Mari said. "Besides, that guy can take care of himself.

"What were you thinking!?" Callum narrowed his eyes at his youngest. "Not only have you endangered yours and your cousin's life, you have risked all these good people as well!"

"The only thing I have risked is your trust Father!" Kyree argues back, "and it's something I would not care to lose."

"You dare talk to our Father that way?" Louie growled at Kyree.

"Recently, I've been told that if someone who is supposed to be family sees me as nothing more than a monster, a tool, then they are no family of mine." Kyree recalled Jared's words.

"You are my son!" Callum finally yelled. "You listen to what I tell you!"

"Like when I'm nothing more than a child?" Kyree countered. "Could a child have gotten this far?" when his father didn't answer, Kyree knew he had finally started to get through to him. "Father, this journey has already been made just. An earthquake revealed a hidden chamber beneath the sands that described the Temple of Creation!"

"Take me to it then," Callum commanded.

"The chamber is written in this strange writing. It cannot be read." Kyree explained.

"It was probably the Ancient Tongue Father," Louie said, "I have taught myself how to read it."

"That's my Louie," Callum proudly beamed. "Kyree, take us to it so your brother may tell us what it says."
