The morning after Kyree's fight with his family, he and the mages woke up alone. All they had was two tents and three horses. As they began to break down their camp, Kyree just watched the sun rise while thinking about what happened the day before.

"I'll work on your father," Lara got onto her horse, "You continue to the Temple of Creation, I know you can find it." And with that, she said goodbye.

"Kyree, dude, we're heading out," Jared snapped his fingers in front of Kyree's face.

"Right! Sorry..." Kyree didn't feel like doing much of anything at the moment.

"I know it stings now, but you'll feel better." Jared made an empty promise. He walked back over to his friends. "He is seriously bummed out."

"I would be too if our father only listened to one person," Mari scoffed. "That damn idiot is the puppet while Louie was the puppet master. I feel bad for him."

"We shouldn't have offered to take him with us," Calvin had said for the hundredth time. "I like the guy and all, but just imagine what he's going to feel when he finds out that he isn't chosen for the Legend."

"It's too late to turn him away." Nadia reminded them. "I think we just tell him now."

"What? No way!" Calvin shot her down. "The safest thing to do is our original plan, play it cool until we reach the Temple."

"But the only way to reach the Temple of Creation is by deciphering the Chamber and we can't do that with Kyree not knowing!" Nadia stood firm.

"We can do it at night, when he's asleep." Calvin countered.

"When we won't be able to see anything?" Nadia glared.

"We can do those light orbs things." Calvin pressed.

"Which will wake him up!" Nadia nearly shouted.

"Both of you!" Mari snapped. "Arguing like this isn't going to get us anywhere."

"She's right," Jared nodded. "Devin, what do you think?"

"Huh, what?" Devin looked up from his shoes. He had been so used to not being a part of the conversations.

"Should we tell Kyree the truth?" Jared smiled.

"I, uh, I don't know," Devin answered. "It won't hurt us to tell him, and it's not like he can summon an army to attack us or anything." He shrugged.

"Little man has a point there Calvin," Jared raised an eyebrow at his friend.

"So it's two against one," Calvin crossed his arms. "Mari?"

"I don't want to cause Kyree anymore pain," Mari finally said.

"Jared, you're the tie breaker." Nadia looked to him.

"Kyree!" Devin ran over to him. "Nadia and Jared wanna tell you something."

"Hm? Alright." Kyree walked over the group and noticed a scowl on Calvin's face. "What is it?"

"There really is no easy way to say this," Jared shifted his feet. "So it's probably best we just show you." As soon as he ended his sentence, he brought out his Book and summoned his robe.

"What?" Kyree took a step back.

"I'd like to formally introduce myself," Jared had a small smirk on his face, an involuntary reflex whenever he made this intro of his. "I'm the Freedom Mage from the Legend of We Three Magics." When he finished, Nadia and Mari both brought out their Books and robes.

"Is this some sort of sick joke?!" Kyree hissed. "Do you play me for a fool?"

"No, we don't," Mari said in a calming voice. "At least not anymore."
