"THIS TASTES LIKE PAPER" I CHOKED ON the momos, glaring at the man who was preparing the food at an inhuman speed. I was so pissed and hungry that I had to compromise on my diet, yet the food on the railway continue to disappoint. They always do.

Ahaan shook his head at me, just the way an adult would at a stubborn child who is also a pain in his arse. "Be thankful for whatever you are getting!"

I rolled my eyes. That's the only thing I can do.

Clearing my throat, I swallowed the food without any break, until I was choking and wheezing for water.

"Why are you such a kid?" Ahaan patted my back, much to my astonishment.

I low-key thought he would take pleasure in watching me die by choking on Momos. I mean he has made his eternal hate for me, apparent, right?

"Shut up!" I grumbled and stood up, as My eyes scanned the place. I was on my nerves thinking about where my life was taking me.

I was always up for an adventure, seeing places, exploring the world, and causing chaos, what I was not up for was a hot-headed man stuck to my hip, who was now chewing the food so loudly, I would've slapped him to the moon and back.

What I wasn't up for was my entire family on my arse, for my blood.

A warm hand gripped mine and started to drag me, and only then my chain of thoughts halted. I gazed up at Ahaan who had his permanent scowl decorated on his face as he grumbled some words like he was the most miserable man surviving on earth.

"Can't believe I'm handling a Psychopath who sleeps with eyes open!" His beautiful and unique way of complimenting me landed me in my senses. I snatched my hand away from his and my eyes turned deadly.

"Says the one who goes around traumatizing people by burdening your das kilo ka sarr on their shoulders!" I growled, quickening my pace as we walked out of the station.

(10 kg of head)

"Oh really? And what normal human goes around telling people that her fiance is a human trafficker?!"

"Tringgg tringgg! Good morning Mr. Ex-Fiance! Time to wake up from your delusional sleep in which we are still engaged!" I snapped my fingers in front and watched anger burn through his body. He caught hold of my hand.

"Then why is the engagement ring still on your finger?! Did you fall in love with me or something, Meza?" His audacity to assume such a thing and speak of it with so much ease surprised me. He smirked and I remembered what I had thought of when I decided to keep the ring.

The shiny ring had me captivated so much that I agreed to keep it on.

"Fell in love with you? Damn Ahaan! Who do you think you are? A Greek god?" His hand found mine once again when I pulled away, tugging me slightly in his way, and thereby preventing someone from bumping into me.

"Jk?" He intertwined our fingers and felt my heart melt at the gesture, a silly smile on my face until I registered his words.

I gasped at his audacity and slapped his head a little. He chuckled lightly holding my fist in his direction and stopped me.

"Don't ever utter that" I warned. He let go of my hand as we stood on the pavement. I was embarrassed to say that I missed his hand against mine.

Shut up!

I need to listen to my inner voice.

I looked around the busy spot we were in. Foods and beverages were sold at an auction and other items were purchased with eagerness. And like the god is on my side, My eyes fell on the small crowd gathered in the corner, music blaring. Peeking through them, my eyes went to a man who was dancing.
