AS SOON AS THE GULAB JAAMUN SANK into my mouth, I moaned in delight. The sweetness it carried, the softness it held as I closed my eyes and felt heaven bowing in front of me.

"Meza, No one is recording you! So stop acting like you're in an advertisement and bring the damn box down!" Sweet Prachi hissed, and I looked down at her, throwing her a wink.

"This is heaven" I moaned when I dropped another one shamelessly into my mouth. Naani is going to kill me, but if I'm gonna die because of a gulab jamun, then it's worth dying for.

"Meza, Get down!" Prachi grumbled urgently. I sighed and slowly got down, the box safely tucked under my arm.

I was three steps from the ground on the ladder when Prachi held out her hand, "Give me, I'll hold it. You get down carefully"

I gave her the box, smiling at her kindness. She is so sweet. Just like Gulab Jamun.
The moment she grasped the box from my hand, she smirked at me. A sinking feeling settled in my chest, She took a step back, leaving the ladder and my heart dropped.

"Prachi!!" I screamed, holding the ladder which could turn out to be the sole reason for my death.

Poor lass takes flight to heaven after falling off a small cliff. Aka ladder. Known for being a dramatic potato.

"COME HERE YOU BITCH! I'M GONNA DIE-" colorful words kept glowing out of my mouth like holy water, while Prachi kept wheezing, clutching her stomach, and crying from laughing like a donkey.

"Coming...!" She let out her breath and held the ladder. Getting down immediately, I turned to glare at her. All I saw was a glance of her shirt near the kitchen door, which vanished in a second.

I'm so gonna not let this go!

Grumbling under my breath, I marched towards the bedroom, only to come face to face with Ahaan leaning against the mirror.

He was home early today and was busy with Vicky. I didn't get to see him, since they were gone somewhere. Now seeing him dressed in a black shirt that hugged his perfect torso, made my breath hitch.

The water drops dripped from his hair, as he rubbed the towel in his hair. Ahaan was so engrossed in drying off his hair that he didn't even see me, giving me some more time to acknowledge his swoon-worthy sight.

His shoulder blades flexed as he lifted his hand and ran his fingers through his hair, the shape of the muscles evident through the thin shirt he wore.

He looked edible.

And I was suddenly hungry.

My feet started moving towards him against my will, and I felt his eyes look at me for the first time since I entered the room and connect with mine in the mirror.

I stood behind him, my hands folded while Ahaan's hand froze in the air. Gently lowering the towel down, he tossed it on the bed. Keeping me in his sight, he turned to me, slipping his hands in the pocket.

"Seeing something you like?" Ahaan smirked, a devilish look gracing his face and I saw a visual demonstration of how his ego bulged. He seemed proud, a hint of mischievousness playing in his eyes.

"I wish" I tilted my chin up as if the supposed act would give me confidence that suddenly evaporated when he took a step in my direction.

"Your eyes say it all... " His voice dropped low, turning husky as he took another step forward. I took a step back involuntarily.

"Yeah?" A breathless gasp escaped my lips when he walked further in my direction, caging me against the wall.

My heart's palpitations rose crazily, his cologne invading my senses as I stared at him wide-eyed. I looked to his left, and before I could run he brought his hand against the wall, trapping me from both sides.
